Thumbs down Iron ls2 with 216/220 .560/.560 and AI 232 799 heads. Predictions?

Combo will be going in a heavy AWD truck with built 4l65 and Vig 3200.

It consists of:
Gen 4 LY6 block
10.9 ls2 Pistons
ls2 rods w/ ARP rod bolts
216/220 .560/.560 114 LSA Trick Flow cam
AI 232 heads with Comp 921 dual springs and ARP head studs
All GM gaskets
Ls9 head gaskets
Powerbond UD pulley with ARP bolt
Kooks headers with ORY and 4" dump
3" Corsa exhaust w/ dual tips
Ported TBSS intake manifold
65# injectors
90mm ported ls2 TB
Melling 10295 oil pump
ARP cam,cam retainer,and flexplate bolts
Cloyes Hex a Just timing chain(single row) w/ timing chain brace
Balanced rotating assembly
Crank cut 10/10
PRW platinum series flexplate
GMPP LS2 front cover kit
Clevite 1776p 10 rod bearings
P series main bearings
Mahle rings
24x crankshaft

And a few other little odds and ends.

I know the car is the largest limiting factor but I'd be very happy to make 420hp/410tq at the wheels with lots of owner under the cover!!

And predictions on power and is there anything I should change??

Only other parts I'm thinking about addy is the Improved Racing crank acraper(fro the price, why not.

Anyone like to critique my build?? I already have all parts unless other wise noted and can't wait to get it together!!!

Thanks guys!!! Like I said,I would love power everywhere but all I know the cars limiting factor is the cam.

What do yall think??

What intake?

400/400 would be my prediction.

Yes, the cam is limiting your power for sure, if it were me, I'd want to increase the static CR and increase the cam size. You have a great set of heads, and great exhaust ready to breathe. If you added a 232/236 114 on LSL's you'd be north of 450whp and you'd actually use the torque converter you have in the truck.

Phil @ AI seems to think it'll be in the 430rwhp range with 410tq....all the experts I've spoken with think I'll be around 390rwhp/385tq with stock heads.Even with the small cam....

It's gonna have damn near 11:1 compression....

Not going bigger,I already have the cam
Any more predictions?

Well for reference mine made 418rwhp unlocked with a larger cam but not quite as good heads in a 2wd platform

Aren't the ls9 head gaskets thicker than ls2 gaskets?

If I were you I would be happy to crack 400rwhp unlocked.

LOL @ "Iron LS2".

I'd guess 375-390whp with that itty bitty cam and an auto and I think I'm being optimistic.

I would just call it a 6 liter personally, but it doesn't really matter.

I do understand the pet peeve some people have when someone says they have an iron ls1, ls2, or ls3 because those designations refer to GM codes for aluminum block engines.

It only really bothers me when they say iron ls1 to refer to a 5.3 (stock displacement) or something stupid like that which is completely apples to oranges.

Yea,I can understand that too.

What gets me is when people say 4" bore ls2 Pistons.....a 4" bore flat top ls piston is out of a lq9.

It's surprising the amount of people who think a ls2 is a 4" bore.....

this is the first I have heard that it wasn't...and after a quick search I am still under that impression

if they share the same gen iv rod the pistons are supposed to be interchangeable between ls2/lq9

I put ls2 pistons in an lq4 a few months ago, they are definitely the same size
Try and order late lq9 or ls2 pistons, they have the same part number

So GM has been lying to us all along when they have been saying that the LS2 is a 4.000" bore? And all the hundreds of LS2 builds on here were all magically wrong?

Why do you think they sale forged 4.005" Pistons??

Hell of a weird size for an overbore don't you think?

THATS BECAUSE LS2's ARE 4.005" BORE!!!

Ask Tony Mamo......

Why do you think they sale forged 4.005" Pistons??
They sell them for people who need to install oversized pistons into their blocks.

And 0.005 is a perfectly fine hone, not bore. Idk wtf you smoking but please put the pipe down.

Do you not see the pics I posted?
Just because you posted a pic of a 4.005" piston does not mean that all of them are that size. And how do we even know that's a stock LS2 piston and not some aftermarket?
