Default Dynoed TSP 5.3 Race Heads & 233/239 Cam

Finally got around to Dynoing the new set up on Saturday. Through an M6 w/ 3.42 gears, on 17x11 w/ 315s, it put down 429/406. Those are corrected #'s.

Car was tuned for spray so the a/f was around 12.5:1. I know its got more in it. The weather wasn't the greatest (hot & humid). Nitrous #'s coming soon.

12.5 is actually a good A/F for N/A too.
Track A/F usually go up .4 at a 12.5 A/F as a dyno doesnt have as much load.
I set my car up at 12.6 target A/F and I run all motor.

Pretty good numbers....

what other mods do you have? maybe its me but it doesnt sound that impressive unless your still running the ls1 intake??

eh i guess to an extent your right, ive probably been benchracing too long...just even in comparison to yours you made basically the same amount of hp & tq through a 9in with a smaller cam...yes dyno #'s arent everything and there can be a variance im just stating my opinion.

I'd expect alittle more out of that setup threw 3.42's but # mean doo doo..

400 threw an A4 is good especially w/a small 224 cam and a 12-bolt.
JS----->Has 399RWTQ threw a 12-bolt/smallish 224

Even with a nitrous tune through 3:42 gears those #'s are low for that size cam....

Its alittle light.


Yea I need 1 more HP to hit 400RWT threw my A4/12-bolt 4.10's and a smallish 224.
My setup in this guys car would dyno a EEEEEASY 440RWH/425RWT threw his 3.42's

I'll try and get the graph up later. I do agree they are on the low side though. I'm not unhappy with the #'s, just thought they would be a little bit higher myself.

where the numbers with the cutouts open or closed? have you ruled anything mechanical out yet also?

Cutouts were open. I'm sure there is some more in it with a few tuning tweaks.

Nice numbers, where did it make peak hp and what does the dyno chart do from 6000 to 6500?

i remember when 430whp from a head and cam was unheard of..now its a runt lol
