Default 505 rwhp 470 rwtq ls2 gto

Hey gang. I wanted to share some of my customers results. He has a 2005 GTO 6 Speed with a stock bottom end LS2, Trick Flow 225s, Fast 102 and long tube headers. He used our Titan King LS1 LLR camshaft. It was built and tuned at SPI Tuning in Canada.

The camshaft is a low lash solid roller version our our Titan King LS1. The specs are 241/249 on 112+3 with .650" lift. This is the same duration at the valve as our hydraulic version which is 236/244 on 112+3 with .621" lift.

Here is a video with idle clip and dyno results. I thought the torque was outstanding. He is very happy with it.

What rocker arms are used on the setup? Hopefully my new LS2 setup makes close to the same amount of power.

That is one fat torque curve! What do you think the lifespan of those springs will be with those lobes?

I ran them on my personal car with a similar grind for about 3 years. They held up perfect. No one else has reported a problem to date either.

It is a stock bottom end with Trick Flow 225s. I think they are 65cc combustion chambers. So, if he did not mill them, tye compression would be about the same as stock.

Have you guys had much experience with a ported cathedral msd? Or does it generally raise the rpm to a place most people don't want to be

We make camshafts from everything from Top Fuel Dragsters to off-shore boats. So, we have all kinds of customers with every combo conceivable. As for the MSD intake, I don't think the runners are all that short where that would be a problem. Most of the MSD builds I have seen have been for LS7s.

Msd for the ls7 is a no brainer. It's clearly better than the fast.

Buddy of mine switch to a ported msd on his SBE ls1. It did make more hp but also moved the powerband to the right a bunch

Stock LS2 is about 10.9:1 with stock 243 heads. My heads are milled about .015" and last time I calculated I think I came out around 11.2:1 but I'm not 100% on that.

Any word if the heads are ported, cleaned up, valve job, or just out of the box?

Great numbers for sure.
