Default 13:1 408 TFS 245 heads..?

I have a 13:1 compression 408 iron block.
N20 ported TFS 245 cc heads by BTR.
BTR 400+ CI nitrous cam 632/596 lift 251/266 dur 112.0. Comp cam short travel link bar lifters
Fast 102 intake. Thinking about port match to the heads.
80lbs injectors with a walbro 416 fuEl pump. Stock fuel line and regulator. E70 is the fuel choice.
Stainless works headers 2in stepped to 2 1/8 to a 3in collector. 3in bullets and exhaust is about 20inches long.
It will see 250-300hp of nitrous. Race gas/ stand alone. Probably forgetting something..
Has anyone did a setup similar? Hp# what kind of e.t did it run.

690 real close to 700 change the intake for 700+ @ the crank. 1 ? Why so much cam and the intake can’t go there. That cam goes to what 7200 on ballparking it. Also needed is porting for the intake..... a Major killer heads flow 350ish or what ever, the intake limits it to what 315ish in flow. You have Nos and a rather bigger sized cam. If anything intake change. Depending on weight. What car is the engine for or do you know your cars weight?

700 or real close.

A direct port nitrous kit will more than make up for the intakes short coming as it greatly reduces the air the intake beads to pull in.

Both are Similar to your engine. Different heads on Roddy’s and Higgins combo. Both hydraulic rollers. Ball-parking at it’s finest. Higgins build has around 12.5-13.0 compression, I’m willing to bet on 98 octane. That’s how they roll in the *land down under. Funny but good song.

I would agree with below. I did a 418 with similar parts, but a carb and SV with a little less compression. Your head might be a little better, but maybe not to.

I would try both Mid Length Runners & even the Short
Race Runners for at the track with your Combo!
Easy to change and I would anticipate 20+ RWHP From
6000-7500 with Mid Length, 30+ with Race Runner from
6500-8000 if you go that high, but with big torque
Losses below 4500 with the race Runners if that
Matters to you at the track.

This would be a good direction depending on gear/stall.

You don't see many FAST intake equipped 400" engines break 700 hp on an engine dyno. If those dyno #s are legit, the CID heads are showing some excellent performance.

So true Speed, I think higher compression and higher octane fuel really helped, as it's a normal thing in AUS* The Land Down Under* That song is just in my head from a kid. IDK if Higgins uses Darin for their factory programs but I do know he did there aftermarket heads programs. But it's more possible than not. Take a 740+ fwhp 400'' engine and add a Fast is what it sounds like. This was or is before the newer runners for the FAST. They * Higgins even have a 790 fwhp 416 on AUS. pump gas at 7900.
