My 02 SS cam only put 46x/42x with MS4 through a 6 speed and 9" with 4.11 gear and bolt ons (full exhaust, ewp, speed density, intake and tb) on a dyno jet. Stock heads never unbolted just higher lift valvesprings, stock bottom end. The tuner thought it was a fluke so we dyno'd it several times after that and it was almost identical everytime. I put several hundred miles on it every month at least I dont believe in being limited to where or how often you can drive it. Drivability wasnt bad at all I had 0 issues.

New custom grind form newera. Test a few cams, sent the data to EdCutis, asking if He could make more power for my setup for stock heads, and still street drive the car. Made a few pulls this weekend.
441whp/395 gona work on it should make a few more hp. NO surging at all, drives great. Will post the graph in a few days

With a cam that size I bet the car drives like **** from all the surge and I would imagine it lags until your reach the higher rpm range. A smaller 224 - 226 cam would spank it.

Yeah it's pretty surgetastic, still don't have a real tune on it though. It is a tiny bit on the "laggy" side down low but more than makes up for it mid-top end. It built power up to 6800 rpm then tailed off 2whp to 7000...That was as far as I was taking the stock bottom end on the dyno, limiter is set for 6500.

So why such a large cam? A much smaller cam would have netted a lot more usuable power rather then this one..just curious..

2000 Z28
TSP 228R
228/228 .588 .588 112 LSA
241's milled .042"
TSP ported and shimmed LS6 oil pump
In motion timing chain set (ordered LS2 but TSP was out and they said this was just as good)
PS headers
TSP ORY
Magnaflow catback
FTI 3800 stall
stage 2 xtreme performance trans
3:42 gears
LS6 intake
SLP lid

put down 366/366 and this is with a nice howl coming from the axle housing, pretty sure I need to rebuild the rear here soon.

Runs 7.4/7.5 at 92 mph at the local 1/8th mile track

Planning on going to an MS3 and 243 heads, atually I am doing some research to see what I can get the most power for my car with, I might get an engine profile program here and fool around with it.
