Default My Absolute/ G5X3 dyno...

Well, Ive been fully dyno tuned. My final numbers are... 425 RWHP and 384 RWTQ. I have all the bolt ons, Kooks 1 7/8, ORY, Hooker catback (no cutout), ported TB with intake throat ported to match, UDP, etc...

Not a high as I would have thought since I made 422 HP with the X2 and a set of Jays old heads. Heads are stage 2 5.3s with 11:1 compression. Its not too bad.

Ignore where it says GTO.. dyno likes to use random names

It's not bad, but when SOME people are making that on stock heads, it makes you wonder. With the X3 being only 2 degrees bigger than the X2, I wouldn't expect drastic gains from the cam swap, but would expect more than 3hp. Sounds like something is up somewhere. With all the talk about these heads latley, I would wonder.

Yeah, that does seem a little lower than I would expect. TQ seems pretty low also. Is this through the stock 10 bolt?

Hmm, well something does seem wrong then. I did 401 hp 395 tq with a Futral FM11, 228/230 .595 .595 112 with stock heads. With your much larger cam and what are usually a sweet *** set of heads I would have been hoping for more through the stock rear. I would have at least been expecting hp in the 430s and tq in the low 400s. Graph looks pretty decent, pulling good up top, I don't know what to tell ya, besides enjoy that beast!

Sure some people make that much power on stock heads but that is far from the norm. Ill just toss this little nugget out there

These heads are cnced so they are all pretty much the same. With all the talk about these heads lately Im just wondering how how these guys are making all this power.
Country can ya tell more about your setup
exhaust etc

Only thing differant from yours to mine is really the heads and I have a 90mm LSX. My cam is a little smaller than the x3. Odd. Hmmmmmmm.
Sorry.

BTW

These are very good numbers. Most cars are not making 430+

I keep seeing h/c cars in the 400-425 range as the norm.

I think with a nice dual exhaust system and a fast intake you wil be over 450 hp which would be a real beast.

I know you would like to see more power but its hard to complain about a 425rwhp car

I had a dual system, not with this setup though... I couldnt stand it anymore... the scraping, drone, noise, etc...

I wonder id I could do a back to back with a good dual vs a Y and catback at Rev Xtreme... I still have my duals...

I got my duals over 2 years ago. I gain 1.5 tenths at the track over my open cutoutwhen i had a 3in custom y pipe. I wish I had dynoed but my car has alwasy made great power since I put the duals on. I noticed alot of the higher hp cars have duals. What kind of mufflers were you runing on your duals?

Try a Switch over to the Dyno max ultraflows. They have a nice sound and make great power.

Carl, you're losing tq with the larger tubes on stock ci. Also the catback in the next restriction, I like the sound of the Hooker, but I'd add a cutout. With a cutout I'd guess your numbers will improve...
