AFR 205 / 232/236 Results - 2000 C5 A4
Hey All,
I just finished tuning a vette today we had in the shop for some upgrades. The 2000 A4 equipped C5 now has AFR 205's with 60cc chambers, 232/236 XER, ASP UD pulley, Donaldson filter, larger airbridge, stock small MAF sensor and non ported TB, LS6 intake, Kook's LT's w/ OR x-pipe, Borla Stingers, 3.73 gears, Vigilante 3600 converter and 19" rear rims.
With the converter locked she put down 436RWHP and 399RWT SAE corrected. We had decent weather this morning and actual numbers were 455RWHP and 419RWT. Drives very nice considering the size of the cam, though it is on a 115LSA. No piston to valve issues using the .054" gaskets.
A lot of "could of's" here for sure such as a better cold air intake, 85mm MAF, ported TB or even a 90mm setup. Even if this was a M6 car with 3.42's it would have been in the 455-460RWHP area possibly.
I personally haven't seen to many AFR A4 info and wanted to pass it along. Later.

My car has dynoed 356HP and 375TQ;
the 455 and 419 sounds a lot better than some others, its not that bad of a difference between hp and tq numbers really; thats good. i have seen a lot of cars that have significantly higher HP than TQ and such huge differences can't be good, it just doesn't seem right. It all matters in the parts used too, and how they all work together

graph please! Numbers seem ok I guess, great for an A4,(not to mention 3.73s and 19s) but I'd love to see the under curve power with the AFRs.
More importnantly, f**k the dyno, what did the 1320 dyno read?

I hear ya man but this is the dyno section
BTW excellent numbers. There are not many a4 cars in the 430+ zone even with all the crazy combos out there.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the kind words for sure. With the 19's on this thing, I do not predict any good track numbers. I will ask if he plans on a drag radial run in the future. If he does, this is a convertible, so i see a roll bar issue. As far as a graph goes, I am not smart enough for that
Yeah, no flycut on this one and she seems to be fine though close for sure.
Now if I tell you the ICL, that would give away my secret But the 115 sure does idle nice and drives great.
For what it is worth, the unlocked numbers were 416RWHP and 428RWT SAE starting at 3700 and rolling into the throttle.
Have a good y'all and thanks again.

Very strong numbers, even unlocked. That Vette should fly! Good job Mike.
