Default Evaluate my setup please. What do you think i should be making on the dyno?

Here's what i have:

1999 pontiac trans am LS1 Auto trans bone stock it ran 13.6@106 consistently on the 1/4 mile with street tires. I mention this because i do not have before numbers but the track time should show that the engine was a solid runner to start with.

46,000 miles on stock motor.

These are the mods i had ordered and installed by a professional shop that deals mostly with these engines.

Patriot LS6/LQ4 stage 2 heads, chrome moly pushrods Felpro head gaskets/bolts and GM crank seal and bolt. 224/228 -581/581 114LSA cam.
NGK copper plugs -1 cold

TNT -4 Pro Purge kit
LS1 75-150HP kit w/10lb bottle, bottle heater, Inline fuel pump, window switch, WOT switch.

Super street fighter Torque converter, 3200 stall
Trans go shift kit, B&M 24000 GVW trans cooler

Hooker LS1 Y pipe (Cat delete)
Hooker long tubes coated

Quicktime electric cutout
K&N filtercharger
EGR block off

Moser 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears and eatin posi (stock gears were 3.23) trans am girdle option and 33 spline.

Dyno tune.

OK, looking at this setup what do you think my all motor and 100 shot numbers should be at the rear wheels? i've had both mustang and dynojet passes and dyno tunes done and will post the actual numbers later in this thread. i don't want to give them now and stray anyones thoughts.

RWHP i have numbers with full slicks and without on the dyno.

I don't street race so don't be looking for an edge

Dynojet through an unlocked converter. With the cutouts open you might see 390. If you had an LS6 intake and an undrive pulley, you might see 400rwhp unlocked. Put a FAST LSX90 and well you might be at 410-415 NA.

Also, your NA tune isn't going to be the best for power, since you are probably running less timing for the nitrous. So, maybe 550rwhp unlocked on the gas with a 150 shot. You have a 99 also, which for whatever reason, dyno lower than any other year.

i think his NA # will be higher. i make 375/370 on a bad tune and slipping clutch. so, with a tune and more mods...he should have more than just 5 hp on me...

OK here they are then, MAX numbers on a mustang dyno after 3 dyno tunes these are the best numbers i've seen:
NA HP/324 @ 6395 A/F 12.4 Torque 305.
100wet shot HP/380 @ 6189 A/F 11.7 Torque 390

both numbers are with a 4 degree retard only...

.581-.581 224/228 114lsa supposed to mean nitrous cam right? so i expected low numbers on all motor and expected also for the nitrous to wake the lil bitch up...lil over 50hp gain from a 100 shot...
The factory ratings for this car are around 320HP at the lowest i've seen this would meen that all these mods got me 4HP NA and 56HP spraying 100. good combo? lol

what's wrong with this picture?

your numbers are low, but arent that bad. its a mustang dyno, which is lower then a dynojet. on a dynojet i have 375/370 with mods in sig. and i wouldnt exactly call that a nitrous cam either...

How much does your car weigh? Factor in the weight in this equation.

Default Back from the shop

they got me on a dynojet 391hp and 378Torque all motor. and about 80 more HP & 105more Torque lb's on a 100 shot. going through a 3200 convertor unlocked, a 12 bolt with 3.73's and 18" wheels i guess this is decent.

now i need to get out to the track throw the hoosier slicks on and take a few passes...i'm hoping for high to mid tens on a 150 shot but will settle for 10 anything and be happy to say i'm a ten second car...which is all i really wanted in the first place.

You think i'll make these times with what i got? the stereo system weighs around an extra 100 LB's give or take a little...i'm gonna try to go to a weigh station and get my car weighed if i can get away with that today sometime...

Can't expect the best with a poor setup man. Good luck with your low 11/high 10

Dam bro say what yu wanted to post in the first place:

***************

your cam isnt considered a nitrous cam. a cam such as a 236/242 with 6 degress of split would be considered a nitrous cam. Your cam is a traditional split. You're also using a 12 bolt w/373's and using heads that are "considered" the worst as far as quality/performance goes. + all of this going through the unlocked verter, your numbers are decent, not great... but decent man. Go bust your low 11/high 10 and be happy.

***************

I respect that more...lol

Didn't know i had a bad setup...untill now?

Damn, I expected higher numbers with those heads. Looks like I'll have to spend alittle more now.

actually those numbers are pretty good. Better than I would have expected. Those heads arent really that good and you are going through unlocked converter and a 12 bolt. You would have aorund 410rwhp thru a locked converter and thats a very respectable setup.

Congrats on the numbers and have fun at the track.
