Default Ls6 intake Gains?

Just curious what you guys gained, especially on cammed cars with an LS6 intake?I know it makes a difference ,but most guys either have it on before the cam ,dyno numbers would really be great.

ya I thought about getting the lsx set up but I would rather get ls6 intake for $400 and spend the other 1k on a set of heads.

There was a post in here by Havoc that talked about this.
He had a cammed car and then added the LS6 intake and picked up some serious power.

I am to lazy to search for it right now.

I was impreseed with Havoc's gains as well but I'm pretty sure his cam was in the 230 duration range as well. I'm most likely going with the tr224 114lsa and would like to see gains on a somewhat smaller cam if anyone has them.

I've seen an 18rwhp gain on a stock head TR230 cammed LS1.

On a cam-only car, a fast 90 setup is likely to LOSE power.

Well I think I found an LS6 intake for a reasonable price so Im going to go with it,its for an F13 if that matters.I expect the gains will be well worth the price from what I have found after searching around a bit.

No, I said "likely." Of course this depends on the cam, and the powerband. Unless you have a full-race setup with 240+ duration, the fast 90/90 is no good for a cam-only car. Ever hear of "area under the curve?" The fast 90/90 loses vs the LS6 intake on a stock or near-stock car in "under the curve."

The FAST 90/90 has been shown to make power on stock heads/stock cam cars. Hence my statement; Incorrect Information.

Well, man, are you talking just peak power or what?

The car i am speaking about is a mostly stock car that trapped 107 before the 90/90 swap and 109 (in worse weather) after the swap. I haven't seen the dyno graph, but a 2 mph gain on a stock heads/stock cam car isn't too bad. Not worth it for the money IMO. I personally wouldn't use a 90/90 setup on anything other than a 346 that sees regular track duty or a big cube motor.

Yeah, it depends a lot on what gears, what stall, what application, blah, blah, blah. I think either hot rod or CHP has done tests back to back with LS1 vs LS6 vs Fast 90, and the results show that under the curve the LS6 is the winner.

So that's why I used the qualifier "likely."
