Exclamation **THE NEW** XR7 Cam from Rev Xtreme Dyno!

Well I was hoping for 350rwhp, that would be a 38rwhp gain from 312rwhp. I always seem to get shitty dyno numbers.

Well that is no longer the case. The new cam from Rev Xtreme, the XR7, was a big power cam.

Dyno Number: 377.46 @6500rpm still climbing like no tomorrow. From 312 rwhp that is a 65 rwhp gain. The power is not linear at all, it is a gradual gain, see for yourself. This is harder to read but the trained eye can understand. Can you say low 11s? Jeremy worked out the gearing in his computer and found that a 3.73 would benefit me more than a 4.10 so 3.73 it is. That mill bring me to about where I am now on the 11 second barrier but this will be the 10 second barrier. Lets see what it runs before I set my next goal.

Thank You Jeremy Formato and Rev Xtreme!!!!

Can you show us a graph vs. RPM instead of MPH?

236/242 /601"/.610" 114 lsa

Similar to many cams....if I gained these in an automatic with a 4000 stall, think of what it will gain in an M6!

Very similar specs to a G5X4 on a 114LSA (if they even make one on a 114LSA).

No advance, idles like a champ, and driveability is great....VERY SMOOTH! I love it, it is what the G5X4 wishes it could drive like, but can't and makes similar power too. This cam should continue to make power beyond 7000rpm. :yup:

well the peak is 6500 rpms so you can figure out the rpm based on that (guestimation). its very very similar to the G5x4 cam. same lobe design. just a tad bigger. great job RX and Jeremy Formato on the tune.

EDIT - oh yes, another issue. i am almost POSITIVE this dyno graph was not with a locked convertor. a locked convertor would make 390+ rwhp

Yeah it was unlocked, the car would be close to 390-400 if it was....but I am not cool enough to lock the converter on the dyno.

or tune drivability, and WOT RPM at and below the convertor. Also, if everyone locked the convertors, it would eliminate 1 more inconsistency for comparison sake. We all know that some convertors are more efficient than others. I vote for "locked".

how often do you go wot locked? driveability tuning should be done with a locked convertor ON THE STREET, not WOT on the dyno. reguardless of the clutch material, the lock up clutch wont take locking up for long with big power.

No, I didn't, stock heads and pictons. Everything that does not involve the valvetrain is untouched.
