Bo White #241's, FAST 90, F15 cam
I sold the 12 bolt out from under the car a while back and stuck the stock 10 bolt back up under it.. then parked it in the garage for a couple of months while I was building the 408. Before I parked it, I had stuck a set of Bo White's #241's with 2.02 Rev intake and stock truck exhaust valves on the car. The rest of the combo is a stock bottom end (31k miles) with flycut pistons, FMS F15 cam, all bolt ons, and a FAST 90 setup (intake ported by Bo). I got the car out of the garage about two weeks ago and had a set of true duals installed on it. I was really impressed with the SOTP gain over the hooker catback, so since www.Bhamfbody.com was having a dyno day today.. what better time to blow the dust off the car and dyno it. I was really surprised with the power it made, but more amazed with the torque. With the belt on it made 439rwhp 410rwtq, with the belt off it made 446rwhp 417rwtq. Btw, I have an electric WP on the car. I really thought those were good numbers with the mild, unmilled heads on the car. All this dyno racing today made me think back to a year or so ago when I changed combo's every week.. damn that was fun. STAY TUNED I have the "bug" again.
I'm waiting for Blake at www.walkerdynotune.com to email me the run files and then I'll post the graphs.

Nice numbers Scott! I met up with Bo today at the dyno and gave him my FAST 90 to port a little bit. Should only be a few weeks and I'll be ready to get some new numbers on my car. I'll let you know.

yes, those are good numbers.it proves that there's more to a good set of heads than flow numbers.the heads i have on now (mildly ported 5.3s)blow away my old patriots, even though the patriots had more peak flow than my 5.3s.

Sorry I got there so late(porting all day ), glad to see that your car is back on the rollers . I know it gave ya the bug again lol. The chambers on those heads are also not deshrouded(stock except polishing) and they were only milled .006" or so(just a clean up pass). So the 2.02 valve is being shrouded a little more than what the stock valve would be. I done this to keep the chamber size as close to stock size as possible since gomer needed em unmilled for PtoV clearance at that time. I think those are good #s as well

gomer, how far off was the tune when ya checked it with the duals?

Hey Gomer,
Thanks for your quick response on the other post....
How come you lost so much power after switching out your supposably worse heads, and smaller cam? I see that before you would have pulled somewhere about 465 with the belt, but now you only did 440? With the bigger cam, and better flowing heads, along with the FAST 90 setup...where did the 20 hp go? Maybe your cam is too big for stock CI.
Keep us update on the heads/cam swaps though!!! Very interested to see!
Regards,
Adrian

I see, didn't realize that the heads you have on now are not as good as the ones you had before. Even with your new FAST setup and larger cam, your heads are now the limiting factor. That explains it.
I have some, on a stock LS1
Patriot LS6 style Stage 3 heads with 2.055/1.57 valves handported running 327cfm at .6 lift w/ 61cc chambers, unmilled
FAST 90 setup
Edlebrock 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8th headers
and some other misc bolt-ons. (Volant CAI, 85mm MAF, ORY, !AIR, !CATS, U/D pulley)
Stock 10bolt with 3.73s, its an M6
If I were to stick the FMS F13, the same one you had before, should I expect to see 460-470 to the wheels? What about the F15....this will be daily driven btw haha. Which one would clear without me having to flycut? Sorry if i'm stealing your thread, really curious though!

There is a ton of power to be had with stock heads, ported and stock valve size(forget the 2.02's).
Gomer- have you tried a good set of 241's ported, shaved to 10.8-1 comp. and a smaller Cam?
Reason I ask is because we have a car that last put out 438hp/420tq with "home ported" heads, stock valves,TR224 on 112 Cam,12bolt-4.11 gears,FAST 78mm intake. It was the best midrange power we've ever seen out of a H/C setup. A bigger Cam would definitely boost the power
