Default Trex Dyno Numbers Are In!!!!

Today i got my car tuned at NLP the car put down 391.1 and 360 tq a lil dissappointed but the car pulls like a ****

wow didn't put down that much for a M-6 car with the T-Rex and im guess a 10 bolt...but yea if it pulls like a **** then thats all that matters

Im goin to go back in a couple of days bc i think the air fuel is a lil off so we can prob get lil more out hopefully

the 4.10's ate some of the power on the dyno .... so with 3.42's it would have been alittle higher.

yea i figured the 4.10's ate about 8-10 and i have the zr1 corvette rims which weigh a decent amount do i figure if i do a ud pulley 160stat and mass air flow i can hit 405 hopefully

this guy also never told us how high he spun the motor, or his a/f ratio? no graph...

he could be like "yeah, my t-rex only put down 375rwhp"....and stopped the pull at 5,700 rpm.

He made 333 before the cam..only change was the cam,springs, and ported tb and he picked up 60 rwhp i think thats right on the money from his previous numbers. He spun to 6400-6500 then power fell off over that.

i think 60 rwhp gain is a little on the conservative side for this particular cam. a great gain, nonetheless. i'm sure better exhaust and a pulley would easily put him over 400 rwhp, maybe that's what he needs - more supporting bolt-ons.

also: shouldn't the t-rex peak around 64-65 and then continue to make near-peak hp after that? isn't that a tune related issue, assuming the hardware parts are up to snuff?

I went from 317 before to 370 after cam ,springs spinning to 6700 rpm .My car is an stalled /auto.Dont get too caught up in the #s game .TAKE IT TO THE TRACK AND FIND OUT!

Spring set-up is extremely important with that cam. Springs need to be shimmed to .040 to .060 from coil bind. Install height around 1.740.
When set up correctly, it should peak around 6,600 and carry to 7,200.

Don't think the gear and the wheels held you back that much. My tune is a little off and I still had a little over 410/390. But like was said above, worry about how it runs, not what it dynos.

Make sure your tires have the correct psi in them, I've seen really low tire pressure cost 15-20rwhp on the dyno.
