Default How Much Power with only bolt ons??

I have an LS1 that is a daily driver and I was trying to see how much power i can get out of it without messing with the internals here are my plans

SLP Lid
Smooth bellows
ported or aftermarket TB
LS6 Intake
Longtube headers ORY
Cutout
Underdrive Pulley
Electric water pump
1.8 roller rocker kit
3800 stall TC
3.73 gears
Dyno Tune

my question is what would my HP and TQ numbers look like and also what kind of 1/4 or 1/8 mile times are some of you guys running with similar mods?

thanks

not true... they have 2000-3000 hours of expectancy. Thats 5 years when driven an hour every day, and i doubt any of us would drive an hour a day straight for 5 years anyway, so im gonna go out in a limb and say 6-7 years. Well... my stock water pump just blew up being 8 years old, and started leaking when it was just under 7 years old. Very similar life expectancy, with more features and more power... EWP is the way to go in my opinion...

You can still get a handful of years out of them.

He's saying he will have all those things... he doesn thave them yet. Hes asking what kind of numbers he'll get with those mods... well i have exhaust and a CAI and make 334/345 untuned and with leaks in like 4 different spots... but i think i have a freak motor, at leas tahts what people tell me. I think if i get tru duals, fast 90/90, EWP, and a tune, etc, i should have 380 or more.

Hope that gives u an idea

Not without a cam you might not get much past 360.

i think it's very possible to achieve that number w/o a cam. maybe 380 is too much but not by much. 360 def will be achieved.

That would be a pretty stout combo with heads and cam on top. 450-470 for sure then.

Ls1 will see a genuine 400bhp SAE Net comparable maybe a tad more. That equaltes to ~360rwhp on a Dynojet and ~340rwhp on a Mustang Dyno, as a FULL bolt on setup.

However you'll see better gains for less money going for some bolt on's and a cam.

All good.

All good. Although a cam may be a good bet with the pulley.

yea i guess the rollers are internal....but it's not going to effeft the drivability like a cam. ...i just don;t want to mess with the timing events and really get deep into the motor until something breaks...then i will worry about it. I have another ls1 with a cam to do all the interal stuff with

so do you think with all the mods i could get into the mid 11's? or is that too optimistic for thoes mods?

thanks
Dustin

My brother is at 11.8 @ 113.6 with those mods, but NO electric pump, no smooth bellows, no 1.8s, and a 3.23 10 bolt. But, his car is exceptionally LIGHT (no option/stripper/hardtop), and this was at Atco in very good air/DA.

id say with a lid, tb, intake, headers, exhaust, pulley, stall, gears and a tune you'll see high elevens...

look into gettin an air filter as well and do your 'free mods'. id say with all of the things i listed youll see 355-360hp..

why'd you decide on a 3800 stall? are you leavin some room to play with for when/if you get a cam?

more like 340rwhp-ish.. thats my guess.. I'm only guessing that because i have seen countless Fbody's on my neighbor's dyno (i run it as well) and for those mods.. thats about where you are at.. depending on who does the tune and what they used to tune it, and if they know what they are doing..

for those of you who say "get a filter" or K&N replacement.. save your money.. not worth 45$ for the filter at all...

i did back to back to back testing (yes 3) of a K&N, WIX paper filter, no air filter, using an SLP lid

no air filter gained 2.2rwhp (over using the paper WIX filter)... K&N gained 1.1rwhp over the paper... paper will keep more crap out, its cheaper.. no significant gains at all.

AGREED!
If you like the idea of a reusable filter, get an Amsoil EaA83. At least as good flow as the best paper (probably not much less than the best oiled/cotton guaze), better Donaldson technology filtration, NO oils to f up the MAF/intake, and you clean it with a vacum or low pressure compressed air.
