I did my setup in the garage myself and made 451 untuned running in the 11-10 AFR range the whole time. A set of TFS heads, tuning, cutout, EWP and my FAST sent out for porting may get me close. Im using your stage 3 5.3's right now. That would be badass if I could hit 500HP on my self built/tuned car with my baby cam thats in there right now.

But as Ron stated above nothing is touching them right now.
THeres not really a comparison between the AFR and TFS heads. TFS has a different valve angle nad slightly larger valve. Give AFR the same to work with and then make a comparison. The valve angle changes a lot.

TFS claims the heads cant be picked up. Ive witnessed one change that picked up 18cfm

Boy this reminds me of the weld vs bogart debate. Very similar, both work. Bogart works better. Weld is alot cheaper.

The last heads I got from TEA were stg. 2.5 LS6s that made 492rwhp/423rwtq when mated with an Ed Curtis custom hydraulic cam that I had him make to match the heads.

Oh, and this was well over 2 years ago

Vengeance sourced the LS6 heads that are on my car from TEA. Truly amazing product. I know a lot had to do with the camshaft selection and tuning but the heads fit nicely into their H/C/I package.

I just picked up a big tire 82 Firebird with a built bottom end 406. Who did I call for a top end package for this car? No question in my mind. I called Vengeance who referred me directly to TEA. TEA does much more than just LS1 related products. They have knowledge in many other engines as well.

TEA all the way for me on this one.

How about both TEA and TSP have a "War of the Cylinder Heads" sale?

By discounting all heads by 100-200$ off normal price I would gladly pick up a set off of either of the two companies at hand

And I would GLADLY ***** out my rear hatch window with a giant "your shop here" As I click off a 10 sec NA pass with your heads for free shipping

Cmonn we need a price war all of Ls1tech can benefit from!!!
