Default LS7 vs. Exo-Skel dyno results...

edit: post #14 graph

Redynoed my car after the swap, clear gains across the board, increasing with rpm.

The final gain was 12 rwhp and 11 ft lbs going from the 57 lb clutch to 39 lb.

Thought I would share as I have seen a lot of people ask about this in the past.

Interesting comparison. Do you have any track comparisons?

Good stuff.

Did you go to an aluminum flywheel from a steel one? Pics of dyno graphs would be nice

I would love to see the graph as well. Your results sound similar to those they got with the Fidanza flywheel test in one of the magazines.

I will have to get the graph, I dont have it on this computer. This was done with the billet steel flywheel, they dont have an aluminum one IIRC.

I have not been back to the track yet, but I hope its giong to be a bigger difference there, considering the LS7 was getting too hot on launches to be able to get in the gears fast. Those results wont be as "real" just because of that issue I think.

I tell you what though, I feel more from this thing than I did when I gained 25 hp from milled heads and ported intake. The response is just so much better now because that big *** weight is out of there lol

Final numbers were 461/425, this was done on a different dyno then all previous dynos (except for right after the rear end). This one reads a good 3% lower than the other one I was on (I did back to back dynos, this way I could use this one as well to reference gains and losses). I wasnt as worried about numbers as I was gains, but want to explain where the extra power went from my last posts lol

I just got the graph on here so here it is.

Green-before the rear swap (actual peak was 458 but I wanted to show rpms because its the best for others to compare)

Red-after the rear end and drag radials and EWP, only change since green run

Blue-added exo skel, and that was all since red run

So now I am back to making the same power as I was before the 9" with a few extra ponies up top (still need to tweak the fueling, been too busy to mess with it lately).

Once MT comes out with their 295/45/17 I want to get those on my car and get back to the track, I need a tire over 27" so I dont hit the limiter in 3rd and have to coast through the traps haha (1/8 mile)

Then its time to get some good headers too

Yeah I forgot to add in there the 9" had an EWP swap as well, I am going to edit that. I have pacesetter headers.
