Default dyno results cam 231/237

car 2001 camaro z28 m6 106,xxx miles with all bolt-on mods

new dyno graph with this cam.

cam specs
Speed inc SI5
231/237 589/595 lsa 112+4

With Air Filter (fram paper):

418rwhp
392rwtq

I'm pretty happy with these numbers!

I like that at 3200 rpms I'm above 350rwtq, and the HP line is smooth all the way through. NOT peaky at all!

Thanks to Larry at Speed inc. for spending time with me on picking the right parts and getting my car in for a tune during a busy season!

Really, that curve and power is uncharacteristic for that cam. Great numbers and you must have it setup right!

I think what Xfactor is thinking of is the TSP 231/237 that uses the lazy lunati lobes. Theres nothing wrong with your numbers, they look good man.

Thats what my curve is like and I have the same cam. Mine pulls farther though but I have heads and FAST90/90 too.

Nice numbers! Congrats.

I ran a 230-236 112 +2 XE-R in my H/C 346. With an SD tune it drove better than a friends 224-224 114 setup. BTW: My 346 was 460RWHP with a set of PRC 2.5R 5.3 heads and a FAST.

results may change since my car is now throwing 6 ses codes after the tune. The culprit might be the SLP MAF i have. might be time to go to stock!!

codes
multiple cylinder misfire
and 5 others.. dont remember what they are

hopefully its just the maf and maybe be able to squeeze out a few more horses!

Yeah are right, I didnt see it is another grind. I wasnt cutting anything down, more praising results for a cam (so I thought) myself and others didnt do much with.

actually everything should be ok... I just looked and the passenger side 2nd from the back, spark plug wire was loose (cant remember which cylinder number it is)

so i disconnected the battery to reset the pcm and snap the wire back on. I know this would cause a misfire which would cause my o2 codes.

so hopefully that is the problem. I will find out tomorrow when i drive to work!

with a fram paper air filter too..

thanks dude!!!

I gained 10 rwhp when I pulled the filter on just bolt ons, so I would bet I would be close to 430 without it now!
