Default 400RWHP Stock Cam A6 C6!! 6.2l CNC Head Results-->

Guys here's some recent dyno results from the installation of our Precision Race Components 6.2l CNC Ported Cylinder Heads, Kooks Headers / Cat X Pipe, and Borla catback on my 06 C6 automatic car. The car baselined with stock manifolds, gutted cats, 3" x pipe & no mufflers. The final dyno graph is with kooks long tubes, kooks cat x pipe & PRC 6.2l CNC Ported Heads.

While doing the header installation I went ahead & installed the PRC 6.2l CNC ported heads, & L76 intake to match it! The PRC cylinder heads is setup with stock 6.2l valves, PRC spring kit, & decking to 64cc chambers. This cylinder head configuration featured stock chambers to help get the compression back to stock.

Valve drop on the 6.2l heads after decking to 64cc is about .140 on the intake side. Hopefully that info will help you guys do some calculating on what kind of camshafts can be installed without flycutting. For the guys wanting to run big camshafts with the 6.2l heads, we will be offering flycutting tools for the 6.2l valve sizes very shortly!

Peak gains of just about 50rwhp from headers & heads isn't bad at all considering it's a stock camshaft & the baseline numbers didn't even have cats or mufflers!

Run 1: 06 C6 WITHOUT CATS & WITHOUT MUFFLERS

Run 2: Installed Kooks Headers W/ Cats, Borla Exhaust, & PRC 6.2l CNC Heads

With .140" of valve drop, you should be able to run a mid 230s duration cam. More than enough! Great news.

I am acturally surprised.
Would have bet money against this combo making over 400.
Looks like I would have lost money.
How much money is this exact head on this car?

I'll ask this one again since it wasn't answered in the other thread. Why do you guys not ever post the correction factors?

I would like to see some correction factors on these dyno sheets you guys post. Nothing more, nothing less. Just some verification.

Why do all that work and not swap out the cam? Worried about PTV clearence? Or did the owner just want stock idle/ driving manners. I would say a smaller cam (226/226 on 114 lift around .550/.550) would still drive and idle around stock and pick up probably over 20rwhp. Just some thoughts. Also is there any future for aftermarket valves and/or a 3.9 inch bore setup. Thanks

I installed a 228/228 114 camshaft in the car & it made 440rwhp & 405lb ft. I'll try to post the graph, but mainly I was wanting to see if the car could make 400rwhp in a automatic with a stock cam
