Mods are the following:
Lg pro long tubes no cats
Afr 205, not milled with 921 springs
Lg G5x3 cam with 112 lsa
Fast 90/90 setup (unported)
Asp underdrive pulley.
Car made 467rwhp/423 torque. This was after spending about 8 hours on the dyno with the majority of the time being spent on making the drivability damn near stock (car was pretty heat soacked i imagine).
We were having quite a few problems with the knock sensor. Even though we were running only 23 degrees of total timing, it was still pulling 3 degrees of timing. We tried nulling the knock sensor but it was still doing that. I should have been able to run 26-27 degrees of timing, shouldnt have I?
We had the same problem when it was stock with the knock sensor going nuts. Was really hoping for about 485/440 or so.
What gives? Anybody have these problems as well?
I will have the graph posted soon i hope.

Are you saying you were commanding 23 degrees timing but you only got 20 because of KR???
20 Degrees does seem low on un-milled AFRs. Considering the amount of overlap a G5X3 has, it should be bleeding-off a good amount of dynamic compression, I am surprised you can only get 20 degrees out of it... Is that cam on a 112 or 114 LSA???
But then again, those HP/TQ numbers look good! for that combo to me...

Your power is amazing considering you're only running static compression in the low 10s. With 11.5:1 compression and timing in the upper 20s, you would most likely gain another 15-20 rwhp. Well done!

The graph was pretty beefy, but I just dont understand the KR problem i am having. Yes, the LSA was 112 so the shift of power in the band torwards the middle may cause the car to have a little less up top, but I was just more concerned with the KR going nuts as it was doing that when it was stock as well.
All in all i guess its not too bad. I will take it to the track to get some numbers this wednesday.

Decent results Dave. I thought you were milling your heads. Guess not. Considering the numbers you made with unmilled heads I would be happy especially with only 23*'s of timing. I run 28*'s and the car runs real well. I am unsure of my numbers. I think one of the graphs I have is wrong. My graphs have 2 different sets of numbers. The one with 486rwhp 451 rwtq has a more viscious/flat tq curve and the one that I think is mine is 490 rwhp 445 rwt with a more subtle tq curve with more peak hp. Albeit only a few.
What octane gas were you running? A good 93 octane gas with your compression being 11 to 1 or slightly less should be sufficient for 28*'s timing without KR. Good luck and hope you find a few more hp/tq. But as long as she runs perfectly and you are happy, don't sweat the numbers.

I have had the same issue with my Z06 and knocking even when the car was bone stock (now just bolt-ons) I'm interested to see if you can figure it out, I know I haven't been able too.

sean, i was having the same problem with mine. it turned out that the wires to the knock sensors were getting pinched under the intake. spliced, heat shrunk, and taped them, all is well.

Ya, I am having a blast with the car. I ran a friend's 515 rwhp 96 cobra and pulled a car on him.
I also ran a shelby gt500 with the roush racing supercharger installed on it and pulled him pretty well too. I love the way this car drives.
A am actually running 22* of timing and the KR pulls 2* out. If i could bump it up to 28 i have to imagine that I could break 485rwhp.
I am going to the track on Wednesday to get a base run in. I put new rubber all the way around. Nitto 305/35/18s on the back and some dunlop tire up front. Should be fun
