Well I am a little dissappointed with the numbers but I think something is screwy with the dyno but who knows.

Pacesetter LTs
ORY
TSP 233/239 .595/.603

I don't think it's screwy. I think your motor can't breath and you probably need tuning. The blowmaster doesn't help, shoulda used a cutout on the dyno.

ya id ditch the flowmaster, get a cutout or something else cause it barely flows better then stock.

The numbers are pretty low for a m6 car. Was it tuned at wot and part throttle? maybe try a different dyno and see if its consistant.

That dyno has a rep for not giving out big numbers. My car made low numbers on that dyno this spring too. Just looking at your list of mods I don't see a LS6 intake, ported TB,lid, underdrive pulley. I agree with what people are saying about the Flowmaster. I had flowmaster on my car when I dynoed it this spring and ditched it for borla. I noticed a HUGE improvement with my 98' switching from flowmaster to borla (open plate). The car pulls much harder on the top end. Hopefully I'll get mine back on a dyno soon to have some numbers to back up the changes.

no tuning, no lid, shitty catback and you expect stellar results? Come on man, be real.

He has a tune in it. Rippie left it a little rich on purpose, but it is tuned somewhat.

Ouch...

Better tune, LS6 intake, lid, pulley, but mostly a better catback or a cutout. All of a sudden you'll be in the runnings with everyone else. Also, see if you can get some numbers from a different dyno since it sounds like this one gives low numbers (or better yet, take it to the track and see what it traps).

He has an 01, I think he has an ls6 intake.

SLP Lid
Free Ram Air
ASP Pulley
Ported Stock TB

if your tuner wants to keep it on the safe side, why doesn't he just cut back on timing instead of throwing a bunch of fuel at it???

just wondering.

and DITCH THE FLOWMASTER!!!

i'd go with a magnaflow cat-back. i believe SpeedInc sells them for $419.99

Im thinking of throwing this cam or ms3 (need help deciding LOL) in my 01 FULL bolt ons M6 SS. p/p throttle body, ud pulley, pacesetters thru 3" TSP ory thru GMMG and 4.10 in the rear. What cam for me? car IS NOT a daily driver, weekend warrior with a few track visits per year. I want something with a nasty lope and not worried about PEAK HP, lookin to get in the mid 11`s at the track. My car currently runs low-mid 12`s. too many damn cam choices and im a cam NOOB.

Not all 2001's had LS6 intakes, they started putting them on later 2001's. If he has an early 2001, he may very well not have a LS6 intake, and frankly, from the looks of where the torque dies, it looks like he may infact have a stock LS1 intake. Also, honestly, the flowmaster really isn't killing his power too much, they're good for 500 rwhp. The pacesetters aren 't helping much either. Also, not being able to have a good look at the tune, who knows what spark is being commanded, and that tune looks RICH. So, given all of what he MAY or MAY NOT have in his setup, ~370 for a "cam only" is not too shabby.

If you really want to bump that power, get yourself a FAST 90/NW90 setup or LS6 intake (if you don't already have it)
Better headers (ARH or Kooks)
Better Catback
A good lid/85mm MAF
And a well managed power tune.

And even thought this thread is WAY old, and the original poster hasn't even showed up since he posted, I'm going to post this anyway, because I already wrote it all out haha.

my car made 393 rwhp @ Speed Inc with a smaller cam and similar everything else. i think a re-tune and different dyno will show better results. i've got flowmaster's and have NO trouble whatsoever. it just depends on how your whole exhaust is setup. i've got 2.5" catless H-pipe with single chamber flo's and nothing else. you go putting on one of their off-the-shelf kits with a 40/60/80 series muffler, then yes you will suffer some losses. i HAD a Borla kit, hated it, got my current setup and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Either that dyno sucks or you have something drastically wrong with your tune/motor. I dynoed 406rwhp with the 233/239 in my 01' m6 with just a lid, pacesetters & ory, and 4.10's, THROUGH A MOSER 9".

You should look at getting a good tune, not a "safe" tune. How safe does a tune need to be NA.I dont think a proper AF is going to melt any pistons here.
