Default 565rwhp 504rwtq - LS7 C5 Z06 - all motor.

This car rocks now.

I love it.

600 miles in - first oil change done and break-in almost complete... and everywhere I look Houston traffic..

Spec is essentially LS7 block, forged bottom end, ported LS7 heads and LS7 intake and throttle body.

The CamZilla bumpstick also probably has a large role to play in producing these numbers.

That's a big stick. Kind of like a T-Rex sized cam in an LS1. Tremendous power.

On a side note, how is the bucking and surging in the 1200-1600 rpm range?

Is that a solid or hydraulic setup w/ that much lift? Your dyno looks like you might have a bit of valve float starting after 6500. What springs and rockers did you go with? Congrats on your numbers.

I too noticed the possible valve float above 6500.

Thanks... there is not much more bucking and surging at parking lot speeds that there was with the R1 cam I had in my LS6.

It cruises at 70mph in 6th at 1900rpm quite happily.. sipping gas at a rate of 24mpg...

I am running Ferrea dual valve springs.

Possible valve float? Possible torque managment kicking in at "higher than redline for the LS6" levels?

I really don't see how it could be valve float. The springs on this thing are huge.

24 MPG? You have lost your mind. Just because you see that instant MPG, you know it's not true. I'm thinking more like 18!

Think again - I zeroed for a freeway trip .. and the freeway trip was 24mpg hehe

The trip to and from the freeway was 10.5mpg..

While I may have joked about the LS1 being God's gift to the world, I absolutely, 100% believe that the LS7 in a C6 Z06 is, and no argument will convince me otherwise.

Good luck with those valve springs. LME put them in my last engine. Only a .635 lift cam and they broke with 1200 miles on them

Hmm.. Ferrea seem to think they are good for lift higher than .700

it was 2 years ago so maybe there better now. I know of 2 other people during the same time period that had them break.

I run a larger cam and there is no bucking above 1500 rpm.

That is great gas milage for that setup. Mine gets about half of what you're claiming.

Good numbers.

Wow, that thing sounds sick. I wish I could see the look on average peoples faces when you are idling at a stop light. hehe

BTW, MTI's shop looks immaculate
