Default 02' C5 Z06 788 rwhp / 649 rwtq

Basic run down of the car.

Iron 402 -18 CC pistons
ET LS7 4.0" heads
custom cam
LG headers 1-3/4 (choking)
magnaflow catback 2.5" (choking)
Vortech YSI ~15psi
pump gas 91 octane.
SD two bar tune.
twin fuel pumps that barely supplied enough fuel.

I was expecting a little more out of this setup, but I feel the exhaust is holding us back quite a bit, as there is some boost stacking going on. Notice the power increase flatten out at 6200, this is where IATs sky rocket 40 over ambient.

What intake are you using ?? Sheet metal or Ported FAST 90 ??

Are you considering going to some custom 2" exhaust, or going with a competitors 1 7/8' ?

1 7/8' headers and a cutout would free up some power i bet. Nonethe less impressive power.

Its a LS7 intake manifold.

I'd like to see at least 1-7/8s headers in this car with 3" all the way out, I'd like to see this car lose 2 psi and gain 50 rwhp.

awsome numbers nick, you never dissapoint. I will be bringing my car back in as soon I get my 408. I may need some help to pick out a cam, smog is out the window at this point. looking to push less boost and more power.

Is this a hydraulic roller cam Nick? I like how you made the pull to nearly 7500rpm.

Good power especially for 91 octane.

The cam is a hydraulic roller. It was spec'd by nick and ETP. The car runs very hard and drives GREAT! We are talking about going with some 1 7/8 headers to breathe easier and drop the boost a little.

I wonder what's killing power-no offense but those kind of #'s are what most people make out of 346's with stock ported heads. I run the Factory Ti's on my car to keep the noise down so I'm sure the magnaflows outlfow them? I would of thought that the torque would of been much higher? What size pulley is on the head unit? Something must be off-maybe the cam specs?

Congrats! Are you rolling into the throttle for traction or waiting to punch it after pressing the button?

the bottom part of the graph looks a little strange...
