Default Thank you Ed Hutchings!!!!

I went down to visit Ed Hutchings on Friday (Automotive Technologies, Chesapeake, Va) to get him to look at my 402/L92 combo.

I was not making the power that everyone else seemed to be making. After a cam change and a second tune I was at 461/416. Not bad for a 346, but I have a 402.

Ed put it on the dyno and after he worked his majic we ended up getting another couple of horses on the pavement. I now have 485/444. The car is great to drive and feels smoother.

If you have a problem child or just need someone who is very good in Northern Va., you won't go wrong with Ed.

You're welcome Bob!! Nice meeting you, and glad we could find some of that "missing" power. Cant believe that thing was 'tuned'. By a premiere shop no less.
Check out the gain at the hit of the throttle. Thats like a 25 ft lbs increase. You should be able to "feel" that.

What specifically was wrong with the previous tune ?That is a good bit of power if nothing else was changed.

Nice power gain. Looks like you picked up equal power through the RPM range. I bet that extra torque makes her pull like a mule down low. Congrats !

It sucked terribly. Like they never even tried to wring any power out of it.
Sometimes different cars want different stuff. You cant plug in a canned tune into everything and expect it to work. Or at least work right.
Theres no secret **** going on there. We made those gains in less than 2 hours. 8 pulls with a little bit of cool down time. We made some checks, looked over the tune, talked about how shitty it was, made some changes that I knew would pick up a chunk, and made 16 plus hp on our first pull with the new tune.

Start at 8. 50 bucks for 2 pulls. No charge to watch and hang out.
