Default 408 TFS results 569 RWHP

I finally got my LME 408 finished. After dealing with all sorts of problems with this build I can at least say i'm more than happy with the numbers.

Mods-

-LME Iron 408
-Dragonslayer Crank
-Compstar rods
-Weisco -8cc pistons
-TFS 225's
-Fast/NW 90/90
-Morrel lifters
-Custom Synergy Motorsports cam
-All tuning done by Rick@synergy

Motor was built for a 250 shot that it will see after the cage is built

FAST is pormatched only. On my old setup I dynoed on another local dynojet and it was within 10 hp of the dynapack, in much worse weather conditions.

Cam is a 246 250. nothing wild

What compression? What tranny M6 or A4? Stoutest numbers in my other thread yet. It is awesome that you don't have to spin to 7000 either... 6000 RPM peak is sweet if you ask me.

Strong work.

M6 compression is right around 11.8. As far as the peak goes, part of me really would have liked to wind this thing out some more and hear it scream, but you really can't argue with those #'s. My 346 held the power a little better past peak than this setup so i'm used to dragging it out a bit more. but it's just a matter of learning some new shift points.

We were all pleasantly surprised by the #'s. I certainly wasn't expecting to break 550. We always hope for stellar #'s but after doing cam, then heads and various other mods and dynoing them you learn to prepare yourself for something more realistic (this was a nice change).

Rick his really getting good at getting the most out of his cams (power/drivability). I know he's been working on a lot of L92 packages lately so I was worried he forgot about the cathedral port heads, but the #'s speak for themselves. I've been on this dyno many times so I know it's not the type to inflate #'s

That's straight up sick, dude! Is that a street car or are you building more of a track only car?

Very nice numbers fellas. I have always wondered what my 408 would do with a 6sp also. Great job! I spray a 200 shot also!! Mine being a A4, at 60mph I can spin the wheels nailing it on motor! Love the power!!

Well like I said before, I put this car on another local dynojet on my old setup and it was within 10 Hp / TQ in much worse conditions. Not sure why everyone hates on these dynapacks so much but to each his own. All the cars that come out of that shop always get #'s at the track that will back them up. Next time theres a dyno day at another local shop i'll try to get some more #'s for the dynapack haters.

I'm trying to get this thing to the track this month or next month for a test n tune but it can be a little tricky to get time off work this time of year.

ScreaminRedZ -That's straight up sick, dude! Is that a street car or are you building more of a track only car?

Still very much a street car, but it gets a little closer to the other side of the spectrum all the time. I don't think i'd want a track only car, I love getting on those backroads

good numbers man.....same setup i was gonna go with but i put on budget heads. yea u will lose more than 10hp off the dynapack to a dyno jet. im not hating on the dynapack just i have seen other cars lose allot more than 10hp.

well there is a dyno type event at advanced dyno dec 7th. i think its like 25 bucks or something. good job on the numbers man

take the orange camaro who got 620 hp at ricks shop....he then goes to a dyno jet and gets 545rwhp. theres nothing to hate about the dynapack.

but if you dyno on a dynapack you dont know your RWHP! because you have your wheels off. thats all man dont take it personal.

Not taking anything personal, #'s aren't that big of a deal to me. I've pulled a few cars that dynoed higher than me on my old setup, I'm not a bench racer. And I know the camaro your talking about, I never looked into the story on why there was such a big difference in his #'s from day to day

Why does it say Flywheel HP and Torque? Maybe that is where hp/tq difference is between that dyno and a Dynojet?

It always prints like that, and usually causes a lot of confusion but it IS RWHP. Not sure on the exact reason it reads like that. But it's been like that since day one on all my setups.
