Really!

Im going to buy a paper filter this weekend and see if it helps. My K&N is 2 years old and has some dirt on it

That's very interesting. I guess that kind of backs up vengeance's statement.

Nice numbers.

I, too, would like to hear more about this paper filter vs. K&N. Next time I get my car dynoed, I'll probably give it a shot, as well.

Congrats!!!! $7 STP filter *** haha!!! KN filters flow more when dirty supposedly but I'd rather replace a paper filter every few months for 7-8bucks.

I understand where your coming from, but I'd call BS to their face if they told me that ****. Some people are just gauze filter haters. If I had thought about this thread I would have tested it yesterday while I had some dyno time

This cam sounds very close to a TSP Torquer v3. I just got a used one to put back in my camaro for a cam only set up. I'm very interested in seeing the final results.

several years ago i read where one person tested a K&N and a stock gm filter. he said the gm made more power. it didn't really make much sense so he went back and dynoed it again. same results. i can't remember exactly but it was a small amount. i think it was like 5 horsepower. i do remember him saying it was on a totally bone stock camaro, LS1 that is.

I pulled my filter and gained absolutely nothing on the dyno.A K&N is not going to cost you any power.

.615/.595 I believe. I don't have my cam card with me right now. Its a xfi intake/ xe-r exhaust. Pushrods are 7.425 Good luck with your install let us know what you make.

Nice numbers rocksws6...With all you guys making great power on these "small" 23x/23x cams I'm starting to doubt my decision on a Trex

Its a great size for a street/strip setup. Its very driveable and it makes great power all the way to redline with respectable bottom end. The Trex is a great cam too though. I thought about it for a second. I had such trouble making up my mind I figured I would let somebody else decide for me. I can't wait to get a UD pulley and some heads and see how the cam responds to those. Speaking of which what kind of heads would be good for this size of cam? Factory castings only though I can't afford AFR, TFS etc.

I have no idea. I haven't had any experience with a mustang dyno and to be honest about it I don't want to.
