Default some impressive dyno numbers today.

06 GTO M6: unported L92's, unported L76 manifold, pacesetter, no cats, 222-224 .566" lift 112 lsa.

and for the naysayers on this board here is a 01 camaro SS with forged 347", TSP 2.5 5.3 heads, MS4 cam, long tubes, single 3.5 in. exhaust, a4 converter locked. same dyno, same day, right after the gto got off the dyno. this numbers are very realistic for a these mods, and maybe a tad low.

Kick *** power Ryne. Those heads don't need a big stick to lay down the smack.

Looks real good.I was waiting till someone posted a small cam with L92's.Your results are similar to what we've seen. With the flow off these heads you do not need big cams.

Sounds like the "budget" engine to build is a LS2 shortblock with the L92/L76 set up huh? Great numbers for sure!

Good numbers Ryne. My cam is a little larger but it's still a baby cam in a 403/L92 and makes over 500RWHP.

Nice Ryne! Thanks for posting this info. Mighty impressive results with a small cam.

Wow, I'm impressed with the numbers these heads are putting out with such small cams. Do they just react that well to these smaller cams, or will you see much higher peak numbers with a big cam?

i have had one car with ported l92's, way ported l76, alot of compression and a 239-244 cam put down 504 rwhp, but all in all what i see usually is the manifold is big restiction and all that happens is when you run a big cam i you kill low/mid power/torque, but you dont really pick up much more upstairs, because the manifold really restricts it to about 6200 rpm +/- few rpm, so the camshaft really doesnt get a chance to shine, that is my opinion

Thanks for the response. Do you have any baseline numbers for this car?

I absolutely agree. The downside of big cams with these heads outweighs the couple of HP upside - at least until a new manifold comes along.

Its more than just the manifold too. Theres some other **** goin on that makes these heads like the softer lobes.

Outstanding, thanks for posting that! I'm actively planning my L92 build right now, & was planning on using a "little" cam just for driveability reasons. It's really nice to see that it's possible to get nice power along with it! Also, thanks to 66deuce for sending me a pointer to this...

What kind of exhaust was on the L92 engine (or did I just overlook it)?

(That combo would pull really nicely in my lightened 'Bird...)

this setup was brought to me by a customer, so it came in at 383 rwhp complately untuned, and running like garbage and very very rich like below 10.0 rich.
