Wideband going a little crazy on me, time to go get another $100 sensor, probably been thru a dozen this year.

Something in the combination doesnt seem happy to me still, definitely picked up agood bit of power up top though

i didnt even think about the wideband going on the tailpipe with the cutout open. do you think that may have messed up the AF reading.
I do know the lifters are not happy, If i do put new lifters in it I am gonna put a different cam in it. I dont know what it weighs, ill try to make it to the test and tune friday.

she ran slower tonight 11.8@123mph, was trapping 126-127 on a good run with old l76 intake setup. I was hoping for 130mph. ***** broke
after tonight the lifters are ticking louder than ever.

not the intake, but the higher rpm these lifters were seeing was the last straw. they already were making some noise before the intake was finished. must have been wearing out since the dynotune upped the revs over 7000rpm's.

so you don't think the torque lost is going to hurt you? do you have pics of the setup?

The torque lost down low isnt a factor as it was only below 5000rpm's in first gear. She ran 11.7@125mph untuned 2 weeks ago and reving to 6000. last friday the power dropped off up top, and gradually got worse throughout the night. The valvetrain is not happy so its where I am looking right now. i do have pic's of the setup ill post them up tonight. We knew the "caddy" lifters would not hold up to the spring tension we threw at them. Jeff said it would only be a mater of time before they gave out. and believe me they gave out.

why would dropping the compression be better? Is it too high for pump and he cannot run enough timing? I understand the smaller cam since the l92 heads don't need much cam.
