final Trick flow heads/cam #'s
I just got my car back from futrals and was surprised with the #'s it made. I really thought it would make a little more power than that.. It made 423rwhp/375rwtrq. Doesn't this sound a little low?
Here is my setup.
2002 Z28 Camaro A4 with Trickflow 215cc heads milled to 62cc, Harland sharp LS1 shaft roller rockers 1.7 ratio, 232/236-642/612-114LSA cam, FMS chrome-moly hardened 5/16" push rods 7.500", ARP hex head bolts, FMS ported oil pump, LS6-2 timing chain, 30lb SVO injectors, SLP 85mm MAF, all free mods, Hooker longtube headers and y-pipe, Magnaflow catback, PTC 3600 Stall converter and dyno tuned by Allan futral.
My buddy has a 2001 formula A4 with pretty much the same setup but he has the dart heads and his made 438rwhp with the stock converter.
I think the tranny might be slipping a little, so that would explain the lower power #'s. Please let me know what you guys think. I live at sea level in New Orleans LA.

Hard to judge dyno #s on A4 cars with stalls, sounds like a solid set up though.
You should be in the mid to low 11s with some sticky tires. (If your stall & trans performs well)

Seems low to me with Trick Flows. Jmo but you got at least another 30 horses somewhere. Just have to see what kind of track times you get. You might get better responses with a dyno sheet.

I agree, I think the numbers are pretty good for an A4. No A4 with a stall is a dyno queen. Let's see what it does at the track. Many people will tell you there is xxhp left in it...but you have to do every bolt on inlcuding electric water pump, ported FAST intake, etc... I think it is strong...run it and see. You will probably get a mid to high 11 sec pass around 115-118 is what I would guess. HP does not equal good timeslips, no matter what any body says about autos being a point, stab the gas and go. You still have to be able to launch it. Good luck...don't focus on the numbers.

Thanks guys.. Like I said before I think my tranny is slipping a little so that would account for the lower #'s. Allan said the car should trap over 120mph. My buddies 01 firebird went 11.90 @ 123mph with almost the same setup but he has Dart heads and the stock converter..

Launching!
the numbers seem inline to me. you have a a4 and slipping tranny. if you are looking for more power do a 90/90 setup. all the guys making the 450-470 on 6spds are running 90's.

The car made 335rwhp before the converter and 308rwhp after the converter but I shaved a second off my 1/4 mile time.. The before dyno showed 308rwhp and 311rwtrq. After H/C install it made 423rwhp and 375rwtrq locked and 411rwhp and 403rwtrq unlocked. What I thought was amazing was how much more torqe it made with the converter unlocked.
