It's good to at least 600 when properly ported.

Are you guys running on a Dynojet? Also, I'm asking this question because we are testing a ported Fast on a 434LSX build with 13:1 compression, solid roller w/just over 700 lift and 246/252, ETP 255's and E85. We are obviously playing the torque card here due to the trans gear ratios (A4 w/ 20% parasitic loss in the driveline BTW) and the weight of the vehicle. I'm sure it is strangling this engine. We just threw it on the dyno and it is putting down almost 500ft/lbs at 5000rpm but the HP peaks at 5800 and flatlines for about 400rpm at 511rwhp before heading straight into the toilet. The cam should be good for over 6500-7000rpm before it drops off. Oh, and we only pulled it twice at the end of the day through full chambered muffler exhaust. We are going to tune it a bit with the cutouts or exhaust opened up on Monday to get a real read on this. I figured after pulling this car today that I wouldn't find any A4 cars laying down anywhere near 600RWHP with a Fast intake and any kind of CI's. I expect to see about 550RWHP on this car like it is with open exhaust tuned on Monday, maybe. The graph just looked sick after 5500rpm or so.

In about 4 weeks we should have a custom sheetmetal intake from ETP w/100mm TB from NW to check the Fast against. I will let whoever is interested know the results.

Fast-90, we've seen 600rwhp and slightly over on this forum.

Seems its best to about 550rwhp, makes good low speed TQ.

After this, its a toss up.

Most of the 600rwhp combo's are the one going to gain 30-50rwhp with an intake swap, if the fast-90 is on there.

This will be interesting. I will post the Fast numbers Monday/Tuesday. I just think that the fast is better on the smaller engines. 400CI's and under and less peak RPM's. If this engine tunes Monday for anything in the 550ft/lbs range and the HP doesn't move much, the car will probably lay down in the 600's after the swap, IMO.

OK, took off the mufflers and did a little tuning today and she is at 532hp-505ftlbs at the wheels. I do know that the car has exactly 21% driveline loss so this is pretty good already. The torque curve is very nice. Holds max torque from 4400 to 5400rpm. I figure there is at least 10hp and 10ft/lbs on the table at least with the tune. I don't want to max her out now on the Fast intake. When the ETP sheet metal intake gets here I will pull it as-is and get you guys the difference. Then I will max her out. IMO this car should lay down well over 600hp at the wheels even with that loss %. The torque won't pick up quite that much but we will see.

Just noticed that the correction factor is pretty big today. Not sure why since it seemed fairly decent in the shop. The uncorrected numbers are 551hp-522ft/lbs. I will look into that also.

Comparison is done. Check it out on our website. This engine is a torque monster and the sheet metal intake didn't hurt much at all. The gain above 5300rpm is awesome. This should be some useful information for those who are building big cube LSX engines. I will post pics of the intake and the rest of the car next week.
