Cool, well Im looking forward to a vid! Honestly, I have been researching a new setup for well over a year and it seems that the 243's are truely the best bang for the buck. Is this your daily driver? Mine is and thats why this cam is so attractive to me!!

This is not my daily driver, but I wanted the car to keep it's stock daily driver characteristics. I am using stock Z06 injectors BTW (28.8#/hr). I don't know what the % cycle duty is, but they provided enough fuel at this a/f ratio and power level.

Man those are some great #'s. I am looking to do a CAM only install. I might have missed it, but who manufactures your cam??? I would seriously like to do that in my car.

If you can post up some 1/4 or 1/8 mile times along with weight and mph and 60ft.

It's from Comp Cam. Any vendor like Thunder Racing or Texas Speed can order you one with the specs you want. Click on the link in Patrick G's sig to order. It doesn't cost any more than the off-the-shelf cams.

bigfat, I haven't gone to the track with the new set up, but the 'before' numbers in the graph ended up with a 12.5@115, 2.1 60', ~3300 race weight (with driver). I run street tires at these events, so it's frustrating seeing others with similar traps breaking solidly into the 11s with bad *** short times. I don't see why 120mph shouldn't be impossible to get now, but I need to concentrate on the driver mod.

I filmed a quick idle vid to show the mildness of the lope. The bassy/throaty note of the Borlas didn't quite come out well in the vid, but it sounds much deeper in person.

The idle was set to 850 rpm. It sits around 950-1000 rpm during the first few mins of a cold start.

Awesome results Patrick G and Ryan L.
Been looking at different cams for the past month and your cam numbers keep coming up as ideal for my warm DD. Would this cam produce the same or better results when fitted to an LS2 with stock 243 heads ?.
Any comments would be appreciated.

C6 A4, stock 243 heads, same exact cam.

That's actually the thread that helped me chose the cam. We pulled almost the exact same numbers, but he has an automatic. If you have a 6-speed, I wouldn't be surprised if you could hit closer to 450rwhp/420rwhp if you have the supporting mods.

Running 11.20's cam-only.... This just might be the cam I go with being that I've already got the 243's!

Thanks Ryan L.

Sorry I forgot to note my LS2 is an A4.
How have you found the fuel economy in city driving compared to the stock cam ?.

Cam companies keep suggesting the old faithful 228/228 cam for my LS2 A4, but I think your results will make me choose these alternate specs.

BADASS MAN!

I've had this exact custom cam from Patrick G sitting in my room since last October still waiting to be installed in my Firehawk...

Thanks for posting!

I have not verified city MPG since I drive about 75% highway, but my highway seems almost unchanged. The 228/228 works of course, but you'll make more power with this cam while tuning issues should be unchanged.

Thanks Ryan L.

Can anybody comment on how the performance of this cam would differ using an LSA of 112 +2 instead of 113 +2 ?.
I'm going to order one of these cams but wouldn't mind a bit more lope !!!
