Default Speed Inc. SI6 and ETP 215 results

Recently we adopted one of our custom grind cams into a shelf cam, has taken over the SI6 name, cam has turned into 235/240 .621"/.609" 111ēLSA, results lately have shown its potential.

This C5 came to us stock with only a halltech induction which resulted in 359rwhp

For this installation on 2004 Z06 we used SI6 camshaft,ET 215 60cc chamber heads, Kooks 1 3/4" headers through cats, Cometic .045" gaskets. combined with ported FAST 92mm

Lot of usable RPM, optimal valve events, very pleased.

480rwhp/ 410rwtq

I will have to ask the tech on PV, but I know there was plenty. We have ran the combo with a .040 gasket in the past.

swapped TI for a Borla Stinger after the pre-dyno

The H/C combo we originally designed for my brothers LS1/4L60E Bu and we actually had that on the dyno yesterday as well.

We did swap out the SI6 for a slightly larger cam on my bro's Bu to aid with running on 93 octane since his compression is a tad higher with the new shortblock

forged 348
heads, intake and head gaskets all the same as above
NW 90 TB
1 7/8 F-Body Hooker headers
Custom 3" ORY
3" cutout
SLP dual/dual muffler ( mounted as the Bu was stock as a crossflow )
9" with 3.90
3" steel DS
17" SLP SS wheels

catback
451 rwhp
392 rwtq

cutout
464 rwhp
405 rwtq

Hey thats my cam,

Cam is a great all around cam. I ran it on a stock shortblock with 215 cc et heads with a .040 cometic gasket. Cam has good street manners. Also works great with nitrous. Made 445 rwhp with a ls6 intake thru a a4 with ford nine inch.

I'm now testing a new cam from them

I don't remember what the P/V was but there was enough room. You have to remember that the ET heads have much more P/V than a stock casting.

Nice numbers. Judging by the curves, it looks like the cam was in somewhere between 109-111 intake centerline.

I won't release the exact specs. But PAT G has great idea of the valve events. I know Speed spent some time to get the valve events where they wanted them. I wish I had a 6speed so we could post some 500rwhp numbers.

Nice results. Everyone keep in mind that it may clear ETP's but I know it doesn't clear some other brand heads without cutting.(60cc chambers).Been working alittle while with these cams.Love the power range and even the smaller durations are making a great peak power.

your absolutely correct

with 5.3 CNC prepped/milled heads 2.055" IV 1.57" EV, had 0 clearance on the intake and .060" on the exhaust.

Using stock 243 heads I measured .070" intake valve clearance and .100" exhaust valve clearance.

We had a local customer with a 2005 C6 A4 install SI6 in his car; brough it to us for dyno made 438rwhp/410tq SI6 and kooks headers.

Wow nice numbers, how well do you think that will do with stock heads for a cam only car?
