A4 F-Body Results from Tick Performance: POLLUTER/Trick Flow/Fast 92
Many of you guys have been eagerly awaiting new numbers from our new Polluter Camshaft that we introduced a few weeks ago. Today, we're all proud to offer you another set of numbers from a very nice setup that we recently put together for a long time customer of ours.
Eddie is the proud owner of a great looking 2000 Camaro SS that already had a nice H/C package with a FAST Intake that we previously ported. He was looking for a little more power and a more aggressive sound at idle, so when he dropped his car off, we knew what he needed: A Polluter.
A short while later, all the parts arrived and his new setup began to go together: our Polluter Camshaft (112LSA), a set of Trick Flow 215cc CNC'd heads milled to 58cc, Yella Terra 1.7 rockers, and we re-used the Tick Performance ported FAST. This car has all of the bolt-ons installed except an Electric Water Pump, and breathes through Hooker Headers and a very nice custom dual exhaust setup.
Our results are as follows through a stalled/locked Performabuilt A4:
Imagine if this thing was an M6 and had an electric water pump!
If you're not impressed yet - keep reading. The setup that we removed from the car was done by a now-defunct shop in Charlotte called MORE Performance. It was their Level 3 setup which included heavily ported 241 heads and a 232/236 591/595 110LSA cam. The car made very good power before, but check out this before & after graph:
With our Polluter/Trick Flow combo, Eddie picked up nearly 50RWHP and 34FT/LB OVER his previous combo! Those are just the peak numbers - as you can see, he picked up power through the RPM range and the driveability difference is incredible. It was a whole different animal when it left Tick Performance.

Many thanks to the guys at Total Engine Airflow in Tallmadge, Ohio for working with us to choose the best heads for this application. Mike and Brian are two of the best in the business. Also thanks to SS-ROB for shooting the videos posted above. Eddie isn't a member of LS1tech but he does lurk, and I'm sure he'll enjoy reading this thread for your compliments and questions.
Hopefully Eddie takes it to the track soon!

There are so many different factors that go into determining the limits of pump gas, but generally speaking I'd say that 11.5:1 would be all I'd try. The DCR (dynamic compression ratio) is probably the most important factor. Here's a great writeup: http://members.uia.net/pkelley2/DynamicCR.html
