You will get WALKED. Sorry dude, it's just not even going to be a race.

Case in point: I schooled an S2000 the second weekend I had my 07 Speed6. Even going from a dig which sucked for me because I was just roasting my new clutch and bogging and bucking I still ended up running him down by the end of 3rd (70mph) and walking 2 cars by 5th at 100mph. S2Ks are trash and with almost 100more hp in the GTO than my old car you should have no problem getting your *** kicked.

From a dig, it'll be bad, from a roll it'll be a nightmare. S2000 kid didn't want to race me from a roll because he saw how hard I was running him down.

Thanks for your opinion . I suppose it never occured to you that lots of people don't know how to drive, and probably half of the S2000 owners don't know how to drive them. But it doesn't really matter to me, as I like my car and am not looking for people to agree with me in order to validate that.

Nah, not saying the S2K isn't a nice car, because it is pretty nice! The kid that had the car wasn't a noob, he launched his car surprisingly well despite all the negative things I've heard about it. He didn't miss shifts or anything, he was in it to win it.

Hell if I were you I'd race the GTO no matter what, racing is all about fun.

I just think it's pretty odd that your 97mph trapspeed car walked all over a car that traps 98-100mph on average... but we'll see what happens.

Yeah I don't see how the S2000 traps that high, it definitely lost a little up top and my car was certainly weak in 5th and 6th. I think he had a first or second year S2K, whichever one had the highest revving engine or whatever?

That 13.9 @ 96 was with less than 1,000 miles on the odo and a 1.89 60. Once I learned to launch it I was in the low 1.7s for 60 and probably would've gone 13.7.

But, needless to say, I don't have that car anymore and am quite glad.

You probably know this but those ET's you are talking about require an almost redline clutch dump. From a low roll if your not at or over 6k rpm your wasting your time. It doesn't sound like your slipping clutch is going to allow for the dead on perfect redline no lift shifts you would need as well.

Probable win no, possible yes...

Exactly right also remember the MS3's are boost limited in 1st and 2nd gear. They have the power to trap over 100 mph, so from a roll once you get to 3rd and 4th you have all the power.

no the MS6's are not because they are AWD. And trap speeed doesn't matter on the street because a 2-5 mph trap advantage can easily be eaten up with bad driving.

Here's some more "news" the fastest car doesn't always win. Trap speed doesn't mean nearly as much as being able to drive and whether or not the car hooks. Before you say anything about being able to hook from a roll, some cars do have that problem.

+1

Good driving makes up for a lot on the street. And I happen to be a good driver and a quick shifter, maybe that's why I beat a car that "typically" traps higher?? Who knows?

Gee Manalishi, it's a good thing I never mentioned that perhaps he beat the S2000 from a roll because it didn't have the best driver... And you can trust me when I say that the S2000 doesn't ever have trouble hooking. It barely looses traction in the rain

I was busting you chops man. While what I said is true I wasn't that serious about it. I was going to add that an S2000 doesn't have that traction problem but I thought that might send you over the edge.
