Should I be worried?
ok so this kid in my English class found out that i have a z-28 and he has a '97 Mustang. My '99 Z is all stock except for a K&N air intake. His Mustang has full exhaust, gears, and upper and lower intakes. He was talking **** about how he hates F-bodies and he wants to race me. I'm not scared to race him i just dont want to look stupid when he beats me and brags about it to everyone in my class. So what do you guys think, will it be a good race?

I had a buddy with a '98 GT and stock it only ran 14.9s. So unless that guys mods knock off about 1.5 sec in the quarter (I have no idea how those cars respond to mods), you should be ok

Mmm, I could be wrong, but I don't think there is any question that you can stomp this guy. I think even the stock cobras of that year are like 14.00(ish). The gears might make it close off the line but it shouldn't take long for you to start pulling him.

The gears are gonna help him off the line, but you're still gonna win pretty decisively. My '98 GT had 3.27s (which most didn't), H-pipe/exhaust, K&N, and I did a PI cam/intake manifold swap, and that car was still a low 14s car on a good day.

You should have this fairly easy. If it's from a roll you'll walk him, if it's from a dig he might jump ahead right at first but you will still end up pulling on him. So race him already and get it on video.

You will put a good bus on him. Most likely he has 3.73s. He's got a low mid 14 sec. car AT BEST.
