Default 00 Firehawk vs 00 GT

I have been working with a guy for a while now that is mustang crazy. He owns about 7 or 8 mustangs at this time because he buys and resells them. The only car he keeps for himself is a 2000 or 2001 GT with a vortech s/c on it. The onlt other thing he has on the car is an aftermarket exhaust. He claims the car put down 513rwhp according to the previous owner. He doesnt know much about the car at all and i have been asking him to line up beside me for a while. Well this week while i was bothering him at work...he tells me he will run for $100. I figure his charger is pushing no more than 8lbs because he has no idea whats really done on the car. All the performance mods were done by the previous owner. I have rode in the car and there is no way it is even near that hp at the crank. Any ideas on what the outcome will be? My mods are in sig

He's probably in the 375-400rwhp range... if he's a good driver you're gonna have to be on your "A" game.

He's more than likely full of **** on his numbers, but watch out. If he's running forged and gobs of boost, you could very well end up reading M U S T A N G off of his rear bumper. A boosted 4.6 is a marvelous thing when built right. I've a feeling this one's a blown stocker.

If it's a stock to bolt-on and blown set up, you could potentially hurt his feelings. Like 11s said, be on point. Botch the launch or miss a shift and he'll be snatching that Benjamin.

Got sticky tires?

For a 2V to be putting down 500+RWHP, it would take more than a 'standard' vortech and catback. Not to mention, it's not the smartest thing in teh world on a stock bottom end.

I agree with teh posts above. Going from a dig, if he can launch, he'll have you most likely. Be on your a-game or you lose.

He's probably putting down north of 350rwhp, I don't think you will win.

Nomally blown 2V cars put down around 350-375 rwhp, thats pretty much the blower w/ bolt ons...sounds like hes giving you a flywheel rating...

You guys do realize that 10psi and bolt ons is ~400rwhp area for a 2V right? It depends highly on head unit of charger, bolt ons, but mostly tune. That car could be anywhere from 350-425rwhp.. no one knows.

Too many unknowns. You could try to be a hero, but you might just loose. I'd tread lightly and see whats up with his 4.6, and get some stickies.
