no the mach 1 is a gutted race car. what i said is MY car has NO weight reduction and I said that i would show a full weight ls1 fbody (street car) with cam only my tail lights. what dont you get about that. the mach 1 was a completely different discussion. also for the record im not against weight reduction on a street car but im also against sacrificing comfort for weight reduction.

I have a question for the guys that drove both and are not fan boys. Just straight open answers.
How is the seating position in the Cobra compared to a WS6 or even a camaro in this case. I find it very awkward and uncomfortable to sit in my T/A. Im not short and I still feel like I am laying down in the car and visibility is absolutely ****. In all honesty, and as pathetic as it sounds, I like driving my neon better then my trans am. It takes me 20 seconds to get comfortable in my dads GXP and see perfectly out of.
*Also, does it have the steering feel like that of a Peterbilt 4th gen F bodies do? My steering is far from light.

with my build 5 7" 170 lbs the cobra is more comfortable and for some reason i have odly long arms so the shifter position doesnt bother me. my friends that have f-bodys are all over 6 feet ranging from 200-270lbs. it just feels too low for someone my height. i was looking at ws-6's and cobras at the same time and this was a factor in my final perchase. different stroked for different folks.

I'm the same height as you, granted you've got 20lbs on me, and i've found F-Bods to be WAY more comfortable than ANY mustang I've been in.(Older and Newer Models)
Their dash boards are like 20 feet away from the driver/passenger, and they are also about 100ft tall. No Thank You.

I was always comfortable in my Mustangs (especially the '98), and I'm 6'1" and (at the time) 180lbs. But then again, I'm perfectly comfortable in my S2000. I guess it's just the way I'm proportioned.

Im 5'11 between 155-160 and my camaro fits me perfect, the corvette and GTO are also very comfortable. I have driven my bros 5.0 and his 98 cobra and it feels very akward and the lateral support on the seats sucks.

when the dashboard in a fbody is bigger than the bed of my truck.

My '00 Z28 was much more comfortable for me. I'm very cramped inside my Cobra. I'm 6'7 250lbs though so that's a little
different. The Cobreau seats helped tremendously. Corvettes are horribly uncomfortable for me.
