speaking of a supercharged ls1 how well do u think like a procharged ls1 would compare to like a pullied/tune/intake Terminator?

i wouldnt be so sure of that. i think the ls1 would have to have some other supporting mods to be able to walk a pullied/ported cobra. cobras with those mods are putting close to 500 hp.

i could be wrong though. i really have no idea what ls1's put down with pro chargers.

You ls1 guys specifically say that your motor is god. with just about 2000 worth of work a terminator will have 500 whp, so it defiantly is gods gift

pretty sure the procharged ls1 has the win. the d-1sc with the twin highflow intercooler is cranking 8psi and rated 60% power gain

our LS1's are god. with that into our cars, or even less, our cars can hit or even succeed 500whp

What's funny is that a 400rwhp ls1 can run with that 500rwhp termi...

no way can you have 500 whp safely on a ls1 for less than $2000 imo.

A friend's dad let me drive his new (to him) Mach 1 the other day (before his own son haha). 500 miles on it, absolute stock. I got on it about 6 times and man..made me hate my Camaro. Apart from a lot more get up and go, thing felt solid as ****. Sometimes when I floor it in my Camaro I feel like I'm gonna blow it up

well considering people used to flip out over the lt1 vettes pulling mostly mid 14's stock, then a ls1 ss,t/a,and svt pulling low 13,s its pretty good IMO

he must be referring to the 88 no way a MACH 1 had more get up and go unless he's modded it. MACH 1's are like high 13 sec cars

considering a good cam tuned ls1 could take this out, a bolt on supercharged
ls1 (depeanding on the SCer and many other factors) would beat it about the same maybe alittle more.

I never have liked this argument. I mean, it is what it is... The Termi's are supercharged the LS1's aren't. Simple as that.

Now, I am an F-body guy through and through, hell I've had three of them now lol but I do like the Termi's. They look awesome, sound awesome and will perform VERY well with minimal mods. They are absolutely cheaper to make faster (once you have the car) than the LS1's. Now, the reason that I say once you have the car is because it will take you a good dime more to get into a Cobra than it would to get into an F-body... Now I suppose you could use the argument of with the money you saved on the F-body you could build a car to smoke the Cobra... which I would agree with, hence the reason I am in my third one. But it's all up to preference. Both cars have their pluses and minuses. Every car does. It just depends on what you want...

Now, back to the original poster. I think you need to drive a modded Cobra and then come back to us and tell us your opinion. I'll bet it changes. I've driven both stock Cobras and modded Cobras and the pullied/tuned/exhaust Cobras are impressive. I was not impressed with the stock Cobra however, then again, I am not impressed with stock LS1's either...

I thought that the stock ls1 block was only good up to 450 hp before it blew. The 03 Cobra block can handle 600 + hp on the stock block. What would it matter if the ls1 had a blower or not it still couldn't handle as much boost any way.

Cracks me up how mustang guys wanna compare a supercharged motor to a NA one and then brag about how much faster it is. The fact that ford had to add a supercharger to compete should tell you something about your motor. And with regards to 500hp

http://treperformance.com/i-90329-tr...or-gm-ls1.html

See if your beloved stang can pull that off NA.
