Its possible this could be a very good race from a dead stop. However if I had to bet I'd say you will beat him easily.

i don't think it should even be a question. The mods on that GT probably can't hold with a bone stock LS1, let alone a bolt-on and geared one.

What I was getting at is there is that chance that the GT shows up with some meat in the back and the driver knows what he is doing. Don't think that just because the LS1 makes more power that it is an automatic win.

Indeed.. I've been surprised by more than one GT. Always got them, but got yanked off the line and had to play catch up. One was just me getting excited and the other was launching at about 3500-4k on drag radials with me babying my street tires.

Take it to the track and find out. It's to stupid to do it on the street. go on a friday night and have the time ticket person cut the ticket in half so you can't see each others time.

Either way, get it on video. I always like watching Mustangs lose.

I'm lone in teh Fbod will edge out a win. But "EDGE OUT" is different to everyone.

Why a Descreened MAF? I dont' get that one bit. And why list it as a mod?

BTW - the stang guy wasted $$$, gettin' shorty headers installed. A mod moter is not a pushrod.

The descreened MAF is not a good idea. There are a few mods that might be hurting more than helping. The descreened MAF, Hypertech, and Flowmaster are all garbage.

And it should be a pretty simple win.

With equal drivers, I'd say you'll beat him fairly easily.

I disagree. No problem what-so-ever removing that stupid *** screen.
Why is it not a good idea? It's not like it reduces line pressure in a 4L60E like ported MAF ends.

It creates issues with tuning the car, or at least thats what my tuner told me.

But I am going to bow out from debating with you because you have been at this game for much longer than I.

It's all good bro...just conversation...not debating. The real question is, does
removing the screen actually do anything for you? I'm of the mindset that
every little bit helps when you're talking about restricting airflow. but regardless, it's definitely not a make or break mod that's for sure!
