What will my buddys mustang run?
I got a buddy that wants to race me. hes got a 94 GT mustang.
Just put about 6k in the car he says(he is basically building up his car so he can beat mine). He will not tell me exactly what he has done. I know he has a SC, 50 shot, gears and a T-5. Will he beat me?
Mods are in Sig.

That is a good forum to ask this kind of question. ^
I suggest you just race him and find out. Don't bad mouth the car like most people do, then feel like an idiot if he can pull away from you. Most GT's from those years up to '04 are pretty much dogs with just bolt ons, but seeing as he is F/I, there is no telling how fast he could be. The 5.0 is a very popular choice for someone looking to go really fast on a small budget.

Mustang GT's of that year range only put down 200 horsepower at the crank and I'm gonna say its overrated horsepower. Say he does have forced induction, a 50 shot and some other stuff...I really don't think he would have much on you if he has any at all.

i wish i knew more about the build up lol. he should be making some where in 330rwhp range if everything else is stock. on sticky tires it should be good for a low 8 high 7 8th mile pass. but the t5 wont last very long.

Well obviously this isn't a fare race if he's supercharged an running nitrous. That's the whole BS of his arguement and talkin **** when his mods are way more than yours. Install a 125 shot with a window switch. And a wide open throttle switch. You'll destroy him. Then it will be a fairly matched "modded" race

No such thing as fair race (or fare race even). I don't build my car to be even with the next guy. I build it to beat the next guy.
Its one thing to be deceptive but the guy told him ahead of time what was going on in that arranged race.
If they had met on the freeway, not knowing each other, whats the other guy supposed to do? Keep his bottle off "just in case" the 4th gen isnt super pissed and possibly get yanked?
**** that. Run what ya brung and hope its enough.
