race? ls6 camaro vs full bolt on evo 330whp? should i or not yet? i just wanted to know what you guys thought, i have a 2002 z28, ls6 with lid and cai. i also have oem c6 wheels weighing me down.. my friend in a 2005 full bolt on evo called me out..think i have a shot at a dig or from a roll? let me know what you guys thini before i embarass myself

unless he is willing to take a chance on breaking an axle doing a 5k clutch bomb to beat you, i think you have it from a dig, and from a roll i think you really have it in the bag

My car is a 2002z28 m6. Jet recently put a new ls6 crate engine in about 1500 miles ago with an ls6 clutch. Only mods are cai and lid. I have 275 streets that do stck alot better than stock. Not sure who the best driver is he is a new friend and have never seen him drive.when I had my stock ls1 I ran a 13.3 so I'd say I'm a decent driver.

IMO an AWD evo with launch control will have a way better launch on the street then an M6 camaro. At the track its a different story. I assume its gonna happen on the street because I dont know many people who roll race at the drag strip. Just my .02 i dont know if the other guy can drive but AWD>RWD on the street from a dig if the power is there.
Also sounds like they are close to the same power level but the EVO has 4 wheels to put the power to. 330AWHP isnt exactly slow.

If he launches off the 2-step I say he wins only cause your on street tires. If he rolls it out gently you will pass him and hold the lead. I say you find a pair of used M/T's and launch harder giving you a better chance on the street.

what about off a roll, do you think would having the advantage assuming were close in hp.
