i just bought a 98 Z28 auto with 157000miles on it i kno theres a catbak on it wit a whisper lid ..this feb. i got it dyno'd pry the only v8 that wus there ...and after three pulls i made 290hp/309tq...took it the track wit proxes lowered the tire pressure 2 15lbs spun dem off line and afters 5 passes my fastest wus 13.5 .. i just got sum bfg.s street drags but havnt gone 2 the track yet ...
...i wan2 run mid 11 ill b happy .. but try 2 keep a daily driver ... any advice so i dnt buy things i dnt need ..

full boltons, serious weight reduction with a 12 bolt and you might have a shot. or like was suggested just get some nitrous.

 

as in fulll bolts on like wut heads,intake manifold,cam,crank,..would a roll cage help or should i get subframe connectors..

 

i plan on puttn an fast intake manifold a cam headers and a diablo chip ... and see wut she runs wit drags .. i guess ill just hav2 go from there ..

 

Headers, ORY, ported TB, LS6 intake, about a 3600 stall, drag radials, and a dyno tune and you should see either low low 12's or high 11's.

You want to run 11s, it will take some internal work or a big shot of juice.

 

Also, skip the diablo chip. You're better off with a dyno tune if you're gonna do internal stuff like a cam.

 

I think that 290 hp is a little bit low...but with those bfg's be careful with your launches...if you launch too hard and hook..and you will with those bfg's...you don't want to break your 10 bolt

i was going to bitch about the hood talk/texting grammar, but people have covered that.

but to answer the question, built trans, heads/cam package, a good stall, maybe some 3.73s and a bottle. oh and pray your 10 bolt doesnt break. if it does, slap a 12 bolt in that bitch. some suspension wouldnt hurt, and neither would some weight reduction.
