Default boost on dyno vs boost on street?

Anyone ever make less boost on the street compared to what they made on the dyno? This is with a procharger. Belt does not seem to be slipping at all I have the sdce bracket. Im loosing at least 3lbs of boost on the street any ideas?

No..I usually read just about the same. After a belt warms up it does strech a little bit. With the SDCE it shouldnt be a problem though

You aren't loosing anything. One either your belt is slipping or what ever filter araingment you have is restricting the blower etc... GL! Another possibility is your blow off valve or a piping leak has occurred since the dyno etc...

I agree. Was the filter installed on the dyno as it is on the street? Bob

Is it possible I do not have enough gear? I have 4.10s in my car I would say I am right around 750 rw right now. Boost is still climbing untill I hit rev limiter it seems though I have to shift before the boost is done climbing. Dyno pull was in 4th gear so im thinking i just dont have enough load with the car having traction issues lol as soon as I hit the gas its time to shift. Is this a possible reason for my problem?

Boost climbs with RPM on a procharger. If you want more boost at a lower rpm run a smaller blower pulley. (Crank pulley size / Blower pulley size)x 4.1 x Engine RPM = Blower speed
Setup your max shift rpm to = max blower rpm. If it's a D1SC I think max recommended rpm is 62,000.

Maybe with the 4.10's your engine is climbing rpm too rapidly on the street? It depends on the use of the car really. If you're into drag racing 4.10's probably won't get you through the 1/4 mile with out turning some serious rpm. If it's just a street car that you like to hot rod around I don't see anything wrong with the 4.10's, besides serious lack of traction! If you're using the factory tach for your RPM reference that could be a big problem, as it's a slow pos. I bet 1st and 2nd gear are at the rev limiter when the tack is still reading 5500rpm.

If you have the same setup, I think this question needs to be asked in the dyno/street racing section.

That makes sense if the dyno was not loaded. More load = more boost.
