Question Question: Stock 01 ws6 vs 03/04 cobra

Ok guys not being biased, who would win in a street race a stock ws6 ls1 or stock cobra?

I am a fbody lover all day long but just curious on how beefed up do i have to be to smash a cobra stock or not?

Wrong section, but I don't blame you because that section gets no attention.

Same driver, 03 Cobra wins by a couple tenths. Cobra stock, WS6 with lid/exhaust = driver's race.

You will lose stock vs stock. For the most part you will at least need bolt-ons to make it a good race against a decently driven Termi. Sorry.

Average drivers in both car it is neck and neck wih the ls1 getting out of hole better but cobra but cobra having two or three mph on it by the quarter.
Taking driver out.of it, cobra by three or four mph and about three tenths.

Simple bolt ons and a tune should put you ahead of any stock 03_4.

03-04 cobra = mid to high 12's in 1/4th mile
01-02 ws6 = low to mid 13's

cobra takes the cake stock for stock

If you are talking averages it would be more cobra high 12 low 13 ls1 low mid 13. Cobras are much harder to launch but have more mph so trap a tad higher

Completely untrue. Stock for stock an LS1 will get left! If were talking average like you say our cars are mid 13's @ 105-107 vs high 12's @ 111-113 for termi.

Really? When you go.to the track next time, that is if you go, watch a handful of STOCK cobras. I will bet only one of them is in the twelve.99 or quicker at over 111.

The vast majority, aka average, are in the bottom 13s.

Yesx ls1s are mid 13s at about 106.

You cant tell me that a stock ls1 on average is mid 13s at 106 on average and a stock cobra is high twelve at 111+. That is over .5 and 5mph on average. Like you said, untrue.

I'm pretty well known at Old Bridgetownship bud. Not to mention I had the fastest bolt on ls2 in the country at one time. My drag racing credentials are substantial I would say.

Ive seen more than enough termi's to know they are a high 12 sec on average. An 03/04 will dyno about 50-70rwhp more than a stock LS1 with a curb weight of about 200-250lbs heavier than f-body fwiw. With all things equal a 03/04 is .5/5mph faster. Sorry if that's too much to handle.

Awesome you use to have the fastest bolt ok corvette. This means you are a genious on what cobras run.

I don't have much else to say but that I'm sorry you think a cobra is .5 quicker 5mph or more faster than an ls1.
Hell look at the difference in the quickest et and fastest mph for both, that is a good indication of how far, or close, they are. And with your average driver the cobra is going to be much harder for.them to launch and shift than an ls1.

Thanks.

Had to point this out, the LS1 F-body record is 12.89@108. Terminator record is 12.43@113. Ironically both set by Evan Smith, about .5/5mph difference.

Yup, the other guy stopped arguing too. A NON-supercharged 03/04 Mach 1 with the DOHC 4.6 is a pretty close match to a stock LS1 car, LS1 having a slight advantage. The Cobra is going to win unless there is a huge difference in the drivers.

How many of you have launched and drove both an ls1 and a cobra?

Your average driver will do much better in an fbody than a cobra. Therefore your .4 difference has now dropped to about a .2, .3 at max. I would break it down more but am on phone and you guys *should be able to figure it out on your own.
I actually ******* hate tech at time. In three days I have talked to more dumbasses than I think I have ever in a six month span in real life.

And you others just agreeing, get off the wagon and think for yourself.

I also find it funny that you say the avg mph is 111-113, the record ALL TIME with an incredible driver is 113 while bein in a killer da, that make sense?

I have argued this many times being on both sides of fence. People need to get a dictionary out and look up biased and average.
