Default 600whp stock Skyline motor?

Well a friend's friend just put a Skyline motor in his 240sx. I think he said RB34 or 35? Anyways he wants to run my 5.0 but hasn't had the car running yet. I talked to my friend today and he said its up and running and he is pushing 25psi on the stock turbos and the tuner or whatever (it isn't tuned yet) said it should make around 600whp. I quickly called BS and he said its very possible. I figured I'd ask here because of the wide range of car guys here. Forgive me mods, tis the season.

Are the turbos off a RB26DETT?

did i log in to the right site? this is LS1TECH right? why is there a 5.0 owner asking questions about racing a 240?

bustin yer ***** man. its not impossible for the RB TT engines to pump out that kinda power. Keep in mind, the 240 is light, rear wheel drive and could be making a ton of power. its all about whether they can use the power.

If you look at the vid in my sig...That silver one is still on the stock turbos. Bolt ons and lots of tuneing and 600 rwhp..Impressive. Though not as fast as I was expecting..I got him once he got me once and we were door to door once..

Though Im sure it's because he had a passenger and those things are around 3900 pounds that it wasnt as fast I was expecting

Sounds fishy, I think you just need some more information on the car...

That GT-R in your sig has nothing to do with what we're talking about.

I don't think so. A guy I work with has an RB26DETT swapped 240sx and he put down 410rwhp on 18psi stock turbos. I don't think the stock turbos will even push 25 PSI. He's probably blowing smoke up your *** with some numbers he read on youtube. Also, 18psi on stock turbos and fuel is pushing it. Need more details about the setup to be sure.

The car the kid had before this was a 96ish GST Eclipse. He wanted to run my Mustang in it too. One night I got the keys to his car and even with me diving the wheels off it power shifting it would have done amazing to run 14's. It was losing boost bad in higher RPMS. He swore up and down it was his fuel system and I told him either his wastegate wasn't holding or the turbo was too small. He's a kid that just doesn't know alot and has IMO never been in a "fast" car.

This kid's a dreamer. Stock RB26 turbos max around 450whp, their reliability at that level is questionable, and that number assumes the rest of the setup/supporting mods are done right...and this kid doesn't sound like the type to do anything right.

RB26 will not break 500hp on stock turbos.
RB25 even less, smaller turbos i believe.

The only way your even going to break 550hp on either one with stock turbos is n2o Now the stock long block will handle that power just an FYI.

RB25 is a single turbo setup stock.

He's not gonna make 600whp on a stock turbo rb26 without nitrous. Also I doubt he's putting in a rb26....i'd say he's putting in an rb25 and might put down 300whp. Which in a 240, is enough to get him 13's and possibly 12's if he can drive.

LOL I don't think he can drive. If it happens should make for a funny video.

I had a single skyline turbo on my integra and it had trouble making holding boost more then the power I made in my sig. So I doubt they can do 600whp.

Its not happening on the stock setup. He is either misinformed or blowing smoke up your ***.
