Mach1's are fairly comperable in speed to LS1 fbody's, the win usually seems to go to the Fbody, but depends on the stangs mods/driving

I ran a friends intake/exhaust mach 1 when I had the same mods in my auto lt1... won everytime. Granted it wasn't by much, but still.

i think if it's a stick it'll put up a decent fight, no worries with the auto.

Wiki says the stick will go 13.2, so i'd say its prolly a bit faster than a magazine article proclaims.

Didn't realize till researching it just now that a mach1 was actually any different than a base gt?

I do remember reading in hotrod about the "new" mach1 years ago, come to think of it...

SO MANY different mustangs, lol...

If you can leave beside him on a dig runs you should'nt have a problem. Roll on's should be easily in your favor.....If you can drive.

I think you will eat up the mach1 if you know how to drive. But then again who knows if this mach1 is stock.. So just need a bit more info on the other car but anyways good luck

I know the new edge Bullitt's actually had a better intake than the base GT's, good for a couple horsepower. Not sure about the newer ones, though.

Yes the '01/02 Bullitt had an improved intake manifold over the base GT. Along with high-flow mufflers in the stock piping and U/D pulley.

And the '08/'09 Bullitt was the precursor to the "Track Pack" that the '10 GTs got, with the 3.73 gears, and firmer suspension. Pretty sure it had a different intake/exhaust/tune as well. It's not like I don't understand why some people don't know all of the little versions of Mustangs that have been made, I've just never met any car guy that didn't know what a Mach 1 was.

mach1 has a 4v 281 about the same as the cobra, just no eaton
little bit faster than a 99 or 01 cobra
5sp had a forged crank, autos dont.
autos have really shitty shift points and lose a bunch of power through the drivetrain. youll probably destroy an auto if you can drive. Stick vs stick is usually a drivers race when theyre both close to stock

I wonder how hard it be to add a eaton blower on a mach1 and it being on a stock block???
