Well my car was at shop and a a friend and a co-worker of wife went to pick it up for me. He works at the same Chevy dealer as my wife and has a 2010 manual camaro SS. He has tune, cold air, full exhuast on it. I will say it is quick. He smoked my G8.

Anyway he drove car and was in shock. He was really shocked with it. Said first gear is useless and with no effort can coudl smoke them even leaving in 2nd. That it revs so fast and is really fast. He said his car feels like has more TQ but mine does feel quit a bit faster. He loves his camaro and said it feels more like a luxury muscle car compared to way mustang. Just way cars are set up on the inside. Did say he liked how blind spots was not as bad in mustang though. He really was impressed and it was his first time driving a 5.0

As he said my car was faster he still would not trade his car for it. He said the camaro is nicer on the inside. As far as bigger seats, room etc. But the mustang was easily faster. That he could also tell it was a lot lighter from way it handled.

So all in all he liked both cars. For different reasons. He mention he wanted to run me before driving car and now thinks he wait till he does cam at least.

Let me make a thread of my friend's cousin's uncle's mechanic's impressions of a Lamborghini now!

 

I was telling his impressions..He isnt getting rid of camaro. And i thought i would share his thoughts since he has a camaro with same basic mods as me. I have driven stock camaros but not modded ones so i can compare. Well i could to my stock car..But i havent even driven my car yet with bolt ons.

 

I will say i like the Camaro as well. I think it sounds better then the mustang when basic bolt ons are on them both...Seems a little nicer on the inside.

 

With all this 5.0 talk on the boards, my buddy just picked up a manual 5.0. We'll see how we fair this weekend.

One thing I like about the 5.0 is the tunable "cammed" sound.

 

Maybe I should join up on all the Mustang boards and defend GM's honor!!!

I wouldnt say kill. He liked both cars. For different reasons. And i said i agree i think the camaro is nicer inside. I like the retro look. Only thing like ford has camaro dont is the glass roof. Which i didnt get cause worry about when car twist when launching.

My wife has been on the fence for last 2 weeks about buying a convertible..I think she should cause they are look a lot better then mustang convertible.

But with mods in sig car just made 448whp/404wtq in a 4th gear pull. Not true 1 to 1 gear ratio..Will do a 5th gear when get home and tweak some stuff. DId 4th cause thats was base, and tune, cold air was done on.
