LOL LOL...I was actually being serious but it's good to have a laugh.. I just think it's interesting when a person spends 15k on a decent engine that runs 7's in the 1/8 and then you get a guy who buys a junkyard LS1 for $400, throws some head studs and some spray on it and runs 6.30s. Most people may not want to give up how much they spent on making the hp because they aren't the $400 LS guy but we'll see.

That's not necessarily true anymore and one of the reasons for the thread. As an example, the LS engines are really strong from the factory and cheap to buy in a junkyard. Combine that with the fact that you can tune the factory ECU for several hundred dollars, fab up turbo manifolds from reversed stock truck manis and all of the sudden you put some E85 in the tank have 700hp at the tire. That certainly performs, is affordable, and in most cases, reliable.
