Default Audi S4 w/turbo kit vs. 01 SS

So, my buddy has a Audi S4 w a turbo kit on it, but with stock intercoolers and such. When cold it should be around 400whp.

My car is making around 370-375rwhp and can pull on the cars that have beaten the Audi before, but he is saying that his intercoolers were heat soaked when he raced.

I am not going to race him from a dig, I dont want to torture my 10 bolt and aluminum d/s for a friendly race, so we decided on a 60roll on the highway. My car eats top of second up at that speed so Im not worried about the initial "launch" but I am questioning the ability of these cars to pull up top. Anyone have any experience racing these things from a roll? Hes getting the advantage of air running over the intercoolers, thus cooling them down giving him power back, and I have the advantage of not trying to launch on a quattro car.

So what do you guys think? It goes down this weekend and I should be able to get someone to film.

Oh yeah, My car has ALL of the following mods now...

QTP Long tube headers, custom oval off road Y, dougs headers e-cutout, magnaflow muffler, BBK 80mm TB, SVO 30# injectors, lid, and filter all with a custom dyno tune.

The one I test drove at 12 psi was a beast 1st gear, decent 2nd gear...but up top it isn't like the ls1. You should take him. What turbos? They aftermarket? If so, and if his car is running good...spray him lol.

I think it was a boost kit or aftermarket turbos... not quite sure. Its got an upgrade somewhere that is supposed to put it up to the ~400 mark.

I *think* he upgraded the turbos on it, since he was talking about his stock intercoolers getting heatsoaked.

I am 90% positive its a 2008 Audi

Yea, if they aren't stock, I don't know. You wouldn't have any problems with a stock turbo s4.

I highly doubt it's a turbocharged 2008 S4. That would be a V8 model and nowadays a seriously pink elephant with that mod in this market with the current competition. 350hp flywheel.

It sounds like it's a B6 or whatever they call that generation 276hp stock at the crank? Either way, keep us posted.

Yea, it sound like the biturbo, and I believe they only put out 250hp at the crank and 258lb of torque.

Idk, he has 3 thing against him !
1)AWD = Drivetrain loss
2)Auto = More drivetrain loss
3)Weight, these cars can be anywhere from 3384lbs to 3704lbs(according to wikipedia.)

Hope those are some somewhat big turbo's !

Is your buddy's car auto or 6 speed? If it's a well running K04 or larger turbo car, he should pull you on the big end. The drag of the AWD isn't as much as people make it out to be. I'm somewhere in the same power range as your friend claims. With the mods in your list, You'd have to get on the bottle to run with me. I think from a 60, he should pull you with you on motor. If you're on the juice, don't know. Let us know what happens when it goes down.

I'm assuming he's a 2000 S4 (B5 chassis) 6 spd with K04 or larger turbos.
