Believe it or not...

21 MONTHS in the works, and I've been

since Saturday when I finally got to drive my Tomcat again! And he feels substantially more quick than I remember
So I am looking forward to meeting some of you fine folks at the next get together!
WELCOME BACK GIRL!
The girl who sat in front of me in Math class with Cartman drawn on her bookbag is BACK!
Totaly glad to see this!
No clue how far you are from King Of Prussia, but Bruce has a meet or two there a year, I hope to be there this year. Hope to see you there!
We had no plans to ever buy a motor, that decision was unfortunately made for us multiple times when they FAILED

And heya Alex, that's crazy that you remember Cartman! Are you an architect now or what??

glad you're back anyways-whoever you are, lol
And hey Mr. B, how's it going?Yeah Tomcat is from the tuner formerly known as Prince, he though, never did us wrong really. It all started with a dropped lifter, and we brought it to another shop because JPR was pretty much out of business and a lot of crap was going on surrounding that. This other shop said my original motor was no longer any good because of the dropped lifter and consequently sold me two crap motors after that

Sooooo... onward and upward, I think this setup is safe and feels great! The people that helped us out this time had my best interests in mind and did right by me. It took a looooooong time, but it's worth it

Glad to be back

Things are good.. life is good..

Glad to hear you're back on the road!
Brien- how's it going? The lifter dropped while the car was running and jammed against the cam, and while doing so, ground the lobe down on the cam. I have the offending lifter still as a reminder of how much it sucks to be screwed over. It wasn't the lifter that pissed me off, but the series of events that started with that issue. The roller on the end of the lifter is literally ground flat down to the body of the lifter.
I don't really think the motor at that point was toast like they said it was, moreso, they didn't feel like dealing with it and it was easier to just sell me a short block that was sitting around anyway.
And thanks Cool, I look forward to hanging out with our car buddies again- it's been awhile. I am going to have to learn how to drive at the track all over again
