Default Looks like my Camaro is going bye bye

I've decided I want to step up to the next level and the Camaro is not the car I want to take me there. I love T/A's and was looking to buy a really nice roller, but someone made me a deal I cannot refuse.

I'm trading my car for the car in the link below plus he's throwing in a ATI Superglide for me picking the car up. That tranny is $4500 new

I'll be putting in a LS2 and big turbo, so I will still be a Chevy guy at heart. Slowhawk will be doing all the work, and right now I'm shooting for 8.50s, but the car will be built to run a nice number.

Rumor has it that Tim Lynch originally built the car to run in drag radial, but I haven't confirmed that. The car is originally from Georgia and was picked up in Florida.

I'm guessing with all the 25.5 stuff in it, I'll probably be somewhere around 3100.

Can't fault a guy if he's doing what makes him happy and it makes better sense to reach your goals. The Foxbody is probably an easier and cheaper platform to work on and that car already has a ton done to it, looks good. Can't wait to see what you guys cook up with it...

I'll miss that Krazy Camaro, just love to see people racing F-bodies.

Oh and BTW

I really really really wanted a T/A. The guy backed out on the deal and wanted cash instead. I listed my car forsale to buy his and this guy contacted me. The plus of owning a mustang is definately cheaper car to build. The amount of work done to this car would take me over a year to complete. Him giving me a power glide gets me 1 step closer to finishing the car.

Basically I want something like fireball's setup in my car

I'm pretty sure Don should make you wear this once you start driving it.

Yeah I love TA's too, but a clean looking dragged out black camaro in some ways looks just as nice and sometimes nicer. If you're just looking for a cost effective way to go fast sooner, then it's not a bad platform. You'll just have to live with the shame that comes with it

if you wanted a car like Fireball's you should have talked Don into selling/trading his roller camaro and stay f-body

I don't want a Camaro that's the whole reason for getting rid of mine. I wanted a T/A for the looks but came across this deal and I love the foxbody so it's still a win for me.

Marco, I'm putting you 1/2 way into the Hall of Shame.....best wishes---- there's nothing wrong w/a Chevy-powered Ford...and until GM gets off their asses and does something (lighter and more power) w/that new Camaro, the stocker Cobra Jets and Drag-Pak Challengers will be opening the cans of whoop-*** on them for quite some time....Ford and Dodge got a big head start this time around....good luck w/the new car. Congrats on the new car man! Good luck with it. You'll be in good hands with Don working on the powerplant!
