Dyno Results on New Set Up !!
I kept it on the quiet side. I went with a new set up. Im glad it did this when i did because my old set up was a ticking time bomb. I wondered why i was down 5-7mph and .4-.5 sec off. 2 lopes on the camshaft trashed, 2 lifters wore down and 2 bent valves.
I bought ricks 402 and had it clean up. Went 5 over with new pistons and nitrous rings. Its now a 403. Took my ET heads and sent em to Dave at HeadGames to mill the heads to 57cc and do some bowl work and some additional porting. Firemutt Racing did the engine assembly and the engine went in this past saturday.
Only the best when it comes to our race car. Only certified techs work on my car.
So yesterday morning i was getting the car all ready to got to cartek for a tune then hit the track. Well yesterday was a long day.
First found a leak in one of my nitrous lines. a 3" d14 line had a cracked fitting. Found another d14 line to replace it. It was 16ft long. So i have this line in my engine bay that it wrap in and around everything to fit. i change it afterwards. Just want to get to the dyno.
Get to cartek late and get the car on the dyno. The next problem was deciding what we were gonna get for lunch. After 45 mins we decided on chinese food
Ok car is on the dyno and the dynocomputer was getting a little fussy. After figuring it out it was a loose 9 pin plug.
Hook up the EFI live to the car and got no commuication with the PCM. WTF!!! Car drove on the trailer and on the dyno what gives. Look through at the fuses to se eif anything is blown. Well we did blow a fuse the other day and took the 25amp fuse out of the cig lighter. So it was empty. But a new fuse in and bingo efi connected to the PCM. Who knew the cig lighter fuse is connected to the pcm some how.
Ok its already 5pm lets get this thing rolling. 4 pulls later
557.62 hp and 498.21 tq. SOFAR!
All is good. To late to go to the track so we decide to spray it. Got the bottle pressue up to temps. Im video taping and Alex is standing with the garden hose just in case. All Julio care about was done spray hits computer
May the pull....nitrous didnt kick in. Check the fjo controller and made another pull. Nothing. Have to figure out why the controller is not activating the system. Kinda of frustrating but it was a long day and time to leave on a good note. Ill figure out the wiring and get the nitrous up and running for the 24th.

Uncorrected last night it was 582.75hp and 520.66tq
SAE is 557.62 abd 498.21 tq
I would have really liked to hit the track last night but that didnt happen. So i hope to get some shakedown runs on wed before my efi race.
Since i have 4.11s in there and i need to switch to 3.73 cause i want to see what i can run NA. 9s??? maybe??
One thing for sure when i do spray it i am installing a throttle stop. Setting it up to 67.83546% throttle. Then after i can get the bugs worked out i am going to turn up the wick and go 100%
Who nows with 3.73s and then jet it to 300shot, 150mph and then im gonna need a laundry bag. Who knows

How to see everyone 10/24 for the QTP GM EFI race.

What was the throttle set at?
I'm nothing more than coffee boy during these builds. Some of the best wrenches I've ever met put their all into that build with you.
What are you gonna do with that old custom grind cam? LOL!

Actually it's because years ago when the guards would walk among the inmates they would take their nightsticks and casually swing them upwards and hit the inmate in the nuts.
So the inmates started pulling their pants down lower so the nightstick would hit the crotch of the jeans, now sitting much lower, first and and that would absorb most or all of the hit from the nightstick.
Now all convicts, wanna be thugs, PJ and so on wear them that way emulating these prisoners who used to get their nuts hit by the guards.

So the inmates started pulling their pants down lower so the nightstick would hit the crotch of the jeans, now sitting much lower, first and and that would absorb most or all of the hit from the nightstick.
Now all convicts, wanna be thugs, PJ and so on wear them that way emulating these prisoners who used to get their nuts hit by the guards.
